I recently had to go through detox, and I have to say, Nurse Doug was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, he was patient, kind, and understanding. He made me feel completely at ease during the admission process, which I know I was difficult and it was nerve-wracking. Detox isn't something I'm proud of having to do multiple times, but Nurse Doug made the experience as comfortable as possible. Everyone at the facility welcomed me, and I immediately felt I was at the right place.

What stood out the most was when I saw Doug the next day doing the medication pass. Just seeing him again gave me a sense of I was going to be okay. He continued to be supportive, always checking in and offering encouragement. Doug is hands down one of the best nurses I've had in a long time. His professionalism and genuine care made a difficult experience much more manageable. I’m so grateful for his help and the way he made me feel supported throughout the process. He understood me and I'm still sober today.

I want to first say that recovery first was an EXCELLENT detox facility to go to. The nurses and security staff and especially the counselors that come in (particularly Sarge, who I couldn’t Thank enough for her tough love and honesty that helped heal part of my my damaged soul and for the countless free cigarettes). So I highly recommend this particular detox location.
The only reason I’m giving a 1 star is because I feel like what I mention next is extremely important and the only way change will happen is if I give a one star.
The case managers that arm at there have only one job, and that is to recommend you to a facility that offers them the highest paying commission possible. They don’t care about what you want and only care about keeping a good relationship with those high paying rehab facilities and getting you to verbally agree with one of those rehabs either over the phone or on paper. If you so choose to change your mind afterwards, these case managers will do everything in their power to force you to go. That includes lying straight to yours and your loved one’s faces, making you feel guilty for changing your mind, pressuring you by calling your family and lying to them so they get on the case managers side, you name it, they will do. It’s not just this detox that’s case manager are like this. ITS ALL DETOX FACILITY CASE MANAGERS IN FLORIDA! Last year with in a 3 week period I was tossed around from facility to facility and ended up going to a total of 4 detox, and 2 treatment facilities. Recovery first was my very first place I went to and its were I was begging my case manager to let me stay and move on to second phase in their program. But because my wife initially agreed and scheduled me to be sent to a different treatment center after my detox at recovery first, and my case manager was getting his commission for it, he did everything he could to make sure my ass was in that van come the date scheduled. Even tho my wife and I had changed our minds and verbally expressed this to the case manager and to the facility, they simply ignored our wishes and when they did talk to use it legitimately felt like i was taking to a used car salesman…. Dirty.

This program saved my life. The Detox... Was amazing and I will never forget the nurses and techs that did so much to make me feel hope again.
MS. Linda, Ms. Kim, Jeff are amazing and they do so much for each person here. I want to thank each one of them for giving me back my life but even better than before
MS. Kim did so many fun activities... Ice cream social.. movie night... Game night... Thank you and all the groups you did were awesome. I'll never forget you ever

Linda runs an amazing establishment and really cares about clients, Isabella is an amazing nurse and goes out of her way to help and Mrs. Amy is everything you would want or expect out of nurse I had an amazing experience unfortunately there was a case manager named Samantha who really walks around like she doesn’t care, I think she should look into a different career other than her everyone else was amazing. Residential was amazing we were like one big family there for each other. Kim is amazing she saved my life and was always there to help I don’t know what I would do without her, Linda is amazing and was always compassionate

I think Recovery First is great!!! The staff are very supportive and kind. The reason I gave 4 stars is because some of the kitchen utensils pots and pans needs to be replaced and apartments need to be updated. Other the. That it is a Wonderful place for recovery. I highly recommend it!!!

I believe all the good reviews on this place are fake!
They seem only interested in the initial insurance money.
Treatment is not 4 nights in a cold room. No counseling, no treatment no residential care available.
They tell alot of lies! People deserve better care.

The staff and therapists there are second to none. The groups are small, close knit and informative and they’re not only about you getting clean and sober but they care enough about you to go the extra mile to keep in touch to help you stay this way.

this is the best recovery center i have been to. the staff is so supportive and kind, i have met so many amazing people here and they have helped me so much to find my reasons to stay sober. the staff really cares about you and your well being, i wouldnt have rather went anywhere else! Miss Kim is one of the kindest people i have met here and she will look out for her clients always
