Hi, I also have several back injuries I have a few bulging/herniated discs in my back and scoliosis and arthritis and severe chronic sciatica again at the moment which has put a huge burden on me and my child's everyday life. I'm trying to locate a good power/electric mobility scooter or possibly a power wheelchair because I have to be able to get my child to school and back home everyday. So I wanted to know if Re-Cares has any items like that or maybe a good manuel wheelchair. Because at the moment I can't walk or stand on my left leg and I have to be able to be the best mom I can be for my little one. If anyone knows anyone who might have one that their giving away or selling for cheap or know of any other organizations that can help me find out where I could get one that would be great and this item is needed asap please.

THANK YOU! To the Volunteers at Recares holding it down!!

I have a leg injury and went to try and find a scooter to use in place of crutches. While I was there, the team grabbed me a knee scooter, made the height adjustments so it would fit me properly. While I was there, two other individuals came in seeking the team, one was an Abuela who came by to drop off snacks to the team as they’ve helped her with medical supplies, and another was someone seeking an item for their family member. The team was so kind and assisted us all so quickly and make me feel so blessed to have this resource.

What a Major Blessing ReCare is. From Wheelchairs, Shower Chairs, Adult diapers, washable and disposable pads, and everything in between. My mom went on Hospice in April 2023 and that’s how we were referred to Recare. This place blessed our socks off in a time where we needed help. My heart was so touched to see a program that is fully operated by the people and for the people. My mom passed away in May and of course we wanted to ReCare all the stuff we received from them plus some other stuff because we knew how much it helped us. Thank you Recare! Donated all of the things that my husband needed after an orthopedic surgery. So much isn’t covered by insurance but people who can’t afford the equipment still need the items for safety.

The main guy told me that he has been doing this for 21 years. I drove from San Mateo to donate unused liquid thickeners and miralax. I wish such drive exist in San Mateo. They did give me a nice itemized receipt as well.

Great group that helps the community immensely by sanitizing used medical equipment and redistributing to people in need. Keeps it out of the landfill and supports the community’s needs.

These guys do a great job. Only take donations on Thursday but they turn those medical equipment donations around in a really nice way.
