My first encounter with Rachel was at a community event where she provided treatment to all in attendance as well as a special oil blend that she created. I’ve never experienced “dry needling” before. My injury that brought me to Rachel was different from my usual bumps, bruises and sprains. My upper right arm and hand had been completely paralyzed from the shoulder down. I’ve worked with PTs and OTs to recover the use and regain my strength. I have had such a wonderful experience with Rachel! I came to see her for an inner ear problem...fluid in my ear. It was causing some hearing loss and just wouldn't clear up despite three different doctors looking at it. It had been recommended by the ENT to have tubes put in my ear. I was not a fan of that idea. My husband had suggested acupuncture and I'm so glad he did! Rachel made me feel comfortable from the beginning. She provides a calming environment. I love the way she goes into great detail to explain what she recommends and how the process will work. Rachel even let me know how many sessions she felt it would take.

During my first visit and after just a few minutes, I could feel my ear start to drain! She gave me "homework" to do between visits which I did faithfully. My ear continued to clear up over the next few weeks. Honestly, after the second visit the hearing in my ear returned to about 95%. The other symptoms as well!

I consider myself so lucky that I had a chance to be treated by Rachel.
First of all, Rachel talks a lot with her patients, asking them not only about physical symptoms but also about their emotions and feelings. She is a wonderful listener. I was taken aback by how astute her questions were. It felt like she immediately understood who I am psychologically/ emotionally. I must say that I could see Rachel only for two months because I moved out of California, but during these two months I learned more about myself and the effective ways to regulate my emotional state than during three years of therapy.
The acupuncture that Rachel performs is just wonderful. No massage has ever made me more relaxed. Most importantly, my chronic (and very painful) condition has significantly subsided thanks to Rachel. My only regret was that I hadn't started seeing Rachel earlier.
Finally, when I moved to a different state, Rachel continued being in touch with me inquiring about my health and offering some practical help and advice. I've never met someone as caring as Rachel.

I have seen Rachel for several years during my time at the Claremont Colleges. She has worked wonders and brought me relief through several debilitating issues including chronic back pain and a concussion.
