You will constantly struggle with this clinic and staff.

The clinic staff can't be bothered to fill medications on time or correctly. The incompetence doesn't just apply to the odd Tylenol or cream ... This is for Life Sustaining medicine leaving you at the pharmacy desk trying to figure out where your medicine is and why it hasn't been filled.

If you need a referral to a specialist, you will be provided incorrect information, likely because the staff is too lazy to actually do the work to have your referral put through. When your referring doctor's office requests documents, lab work, etc. El Camino will ghost them, leaving you in limbo without any clue as to what is going on and why your referral is sitting untouched.

Worse is that your family doctor may disappear randomly throughout the year for months at a time which bounces you from one set of staff members to another. No wonder El Camino can't get anything done.

I had an appointment today , took the day off for a medical problem I was having. I got there and a very rude nurse practitioner was telling a couple in the lobby they had to cancel the appointment because the power went off, they reasonably asked why they could just speak to the Doctor and have her write down what was discussed to input in the system when the power went back on. Practitioner said “im just telling you what the doctor said I can go ask but I’m being as polite as I can be and telling you we can not see you”
someone from the back had to step in and help the gentlemen with his concerns. The same practitioner came to me and told me they were canceling appointments for doctor Aida Dizdarevic because the light had gone off. I don’t understand why having no computers forces them to deny patients. Seems like these doctors just don’t want to work harder than they have to. Nurse practitioner needs more training on how to speak to patients and learn how to HELP people seeking medical attention. I took time off work which will be hard for me to do again and now have to go to Urgent Care.

I had an appointment today, Aug 20th with Dr. Julao at this clinic. I made this appointment a month or so prior. I received a reminder for this appointment at 3pm three days before my appointment and I called back to acknowledge. I took the afternoon off from work and head on out. On my way to the appointment I received a call from the clinic saying that the appointment is cancelled because the doctor was sick and they were trying to call her patients that morning. I never received any calls nor was there any VM. When I got there the front desk said that she can set up another appointment with another doctor the next day. I just took the afternoon off for that appointment and they wanted me to take the next afternoon off as well? I asked if it was the other way around, that I cancelled the appointment in the hour of my appointment would they charge me $125 on cancellation fees? And they said yes because that's the policy. Doctors can cancel at the last minute but not patients? The other front desk interjected and said they were calling yesterday, which was a different story from what the other lady in the phone told me. I asked them what the phone number they have and it was the correct number. If I can't trust the people in the front desk nor the medical assistant of any doctor, how could I trust the doctor I choose in this network. El Camino needs to know what these clinics are doing. It's not just about the money. It's about concern for your patients which these people obviously don't care about.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I initially scheduled an appointment for 4 pm. Without out any notice, the appointment time was changed to 3:40 pm. I only noticed this change a week in advance, so I said nothing, even though this would necessitate my leaving work early. Then, the day of my appointment, I received a voicemail asking if I could change my appointment time to 3:20 pm, but if not, I could still come in at 3:40 pm. I called back and said that I COULD NOT change to 3:20 pm as I would be working, and the representative confirmed my response and said that's fine, confirming my 3:40 pm appointment. When I was on the way to the appointment, I realized that I would be about 5 minutes late, so I called the office to let them know. When I spoke to someone, they insisted that my appointment was at 3:20 pm and refused to acknowledge that the time was changed without my knowledge or consent. I was then transferred to another representative, who said that the doctor wanted to take a meeting at 4 pm, so they had to move my appointment. I reiterated that this was done not only without my consent (in fact, I explicitly said I was not able to make that time), but without even notifying me! The person simply responded that it was out of their control, and asked if I would like to reschedule or do nothing. Due to this horrible service, I said do nothing, and I will certainly never be a patient at this office.

Both the front desk and the medical staff are efficient and friendly. The medical staff is knowledgeable and listens to me as a patient. They are always ready to try to answer any concerns that I may have.
The only downside for me personally is the lack of enough handicapped parking.

I got robbed blind on a night out in San Fran when my foot was somewhere between bone bruised and broken. 4-5 days later I recover my cards and get a rental car. The first urgent care in San Jose turns me away while demanding I hop on 1 leg back and forth to complete their sophisticated QR code sign-in process. That place didn't even have x- ray capacity. Thankfully, I navigated to El Camino Winchester where despite being robbed blind I was treated humanely by the super kind and knowledgeable staff. Thank you for x-ray-ing me and giving me a foot boot and providing me real time medical advice about my other undisclosed questions I discussed there. Thank you all. You helped me in my time of need. In Texas, where I'm from, where it's 200 degrees (I'm exaggerating, okay it's 90-100) all the time, customer service is common place bc the cost of living in a place that hot is way lower. Thank you all at El Camino Winchester for making me feel at home. Treating me like a human rather than homeless even though I came in there with nothing after being robbed blind. That made me feel at home like Texas. Thank you. I know it's more difficult here, in CA than in Tx. And that's why people treat people worse here generally. But not you guys. Thank God for you guys. I'm glad I got to go here. Thank you.
