I recently called to schedule an appointment at Planned Parenthood- South San Francisco 11Dec 14:30 ish and unfortunately my experience with the receptionist was less than ideal. I was disappointed by the receptionist’s lack of professionalism. When I wasn’t sure about the insurance and questions for the information, i felt that my questions were met with impatience and a dismissive tone. Actually sounds rude since she picked up the phone. Plus with discrimination about the accent and she wanted to have interpreter even we had a clear conversation. This left me feeling dismissed and unsure about the proceeding with my appointment.

It would be helpful if the front desk could be more courteous and willing to provide clear, friendly responses to questions.

Very friendly, patient and caring staff. Exam rooms are spacious compared to the San Mateo location. Parking can be difficult but they were understanding when I arrived a bit late. Will return to this location again instead of the San Mateo location.

for a vital healthcare organization they sure didn't take my health seriously. i did not receive the time-sensitive care i'd arranged for.
when i showed up i was told that they don't even do appointments at the time i was scheduled, and furthermore i hadn't been placed into their system at all. they told me they didn't have any room for walk-ins and my only options were to reschedule or wait all afternoon to see if someone didn't show up. complete waste of time and money traveling to get there. please do better.

I accidentally called this number yesterday afternoon 4-13-2022 at 1:25PM thinking it was a general 800 number for PP. BOY WAS I WRONG!!
I need services and I wanted to double check what I scheduled online was in fact scheduled.
The woman on the phone rudely informed she was in California. She told me she’d attempt to connect me with the location I was looking for and all she did was MAKE SURE THE PHONE WOULD RING THERE. No actual help.
I became frantic and began crying, stating that this was the rest of my life and I’m terrified. She then hugged at me and said “have a great day. Bye.” And HUNG UP ON ME! I was a patient begging for help or some kind of reassurance. I truly hope this isn’t how you treat other young women who are all alone and need help. I’m absolutely disgusted.

Shot out to the ladies here at this wonderful facility! I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable! Going to a doctor’s office or health care facility is always daunting to me. All the staff was very friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Not only is this clinic spacious and clean, but it’s also in a very convenient location in downtown S. City. Looking forward to my next wellness check! Thank you, girls for being amazing today!

I had an amazing experience here. After going through an extremely unpleasant experience at a non PP gynecologist I came here. They were so caring and made me feel so safe and empowered and heard. The entire staff from the receptionist, assistant, and the NP were all extremely caring and knowledgeable. Thanks Mar Monte 💕
