My wife and I were on vacation in the area and our dachshund puppy was having pain and discomfort in his ear but we weren’t sure if something was stuck in there or if he had an ear infection. We called around multiple places but since it was the weekend most places were closed or couldn’t see us. We called Pismo Beach Vet clinic and the staff was extremely nice and understanding and were able to get us in immediately. When I got there the check in was super easy and I was taken back immediately. The vet tech and Dr. Flores were also very nice and patient with Milo as they were checking in his ear. He was a little difficult letting them at first but they tried something else and were finally able to remove a fox tail that was stuck deep in his ear. The whole process was quick and we are so grateful for them and accommodating us would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a vet in the area!

I recently visited  Pismo Beach veterinary clinic with my pet, Chico . We were on vacation when Chico got seriously ill and we had to seek urgent care. I called to schedule an appt to be seen and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism. From the moment we walked in, the staff were welcoming, kind, and attentive. The receptionists made check-in a breeze and ensured we were comfortable. Dr Joel Conn  thoroughly explained what was possibly happening with Chico answering all of my questions, and offering a treatment plan tailored to my pet’s specific needs.
It’s clear that the team here genuinely loves animals and takes the time to provide the best possible care.
The clinic was clean, well-organized, and welcoming. I really appreciated how they made it possible for Chico to be seen on the same day for an urgent matter. Chico was treated with the utmost kindness, love, and respect throughout the visit. I left feeling confident and reassured that my pet was in excellent hands. The staff even took the time to call us the next day after Chico’s visit to check on how he  doing. I highly recommend Pismo Beach veterinary clinic for anyone looking for high-quality veterinary care with a personal touch! They are all so amazing.

Our regular veterinarian was closed over the weekend when our beloved bulldog rapidly declined. We called them and talked about options. The receptionist I spoke to was beyond kind and caring. She gave me all the information I needed. When we came in the entire team treated us with such compassion. We had to help our bulldog find comfort and peace and laid her to rest. I was beyond impressed with how thoughtful they were in all of the details and how they took the time to explain everything to me, especially given that we aren’t one of their regular families. The care was so exceptional that we will likely visit them when we are ready to welcome another rescue love into our home. Thank you all so much.

We have three dogs who are all cared for by Pismo Beach Vet. Our two Pugs see Dr. Flores and our Mastiff/Shepherd Mix sees Dr. Walte. We’ve had mass removals, teeth removals, ear infections and cancer scares with this practice and they’ve given top notch care through everything. We also take all three dogs to Sarah their groomer who is absolutely amazing! Our pets actually enjoy going to get bathed by her.
Can’t say enough good things about this practice!

If I could give this place no stars I would. I took my puppy in for a grooming service and they “accidentally” cut off a piece of her paw. I expected everything to be taken care of because now I had to take care of changing bandages and give her medicine when I was just going in for a groom. They made me pay for the grooming service then Continued to black list me in their system for THEIR mistake. When I arrived to pick her up they brushed it off as if it was normal for a dog to get hurt during a grooming service. I will NEVER be coming back here again.

We’ve been going to PB Veterinary Clinic for over 30 yrs. They’ve have always been a very friendly & caring group. Their communication is outstanding, letting us know our choices & options; medically and/or financially for our kids (pets). They have great “Open Hours” everyday, making it very convenient for us.

In our time of need after our dog was attacked on the beach in Avila we needed an emergency veterinary clinic. We were so lucky to have found this clinic as the staff and doctors were so understanding and caring. Doctor Swing was so kind and took the time to explain the procedure necessary to stitch up the wounds. We returned home the following day and yesterday the stitches came out and Archie looks great. You all did a magnificent job. Here are photos of day 1 and day 11.
