Elsa, went above and beyond answering my pharmacy questions and calling to follow up and confirm with me that my order was accepted and being processed. She is a wonderful and deserves 10 stars!!!! I was assigned to PIH Cerritos when I went from a PPO to an HMO.

During my first visit, I brought in my latest lab results and an IgE report (showing items I’m allergic to). The nurse practitioner I saw looked at the IgE report and stated I was allergic to everything. She never asked if I had undergone allergy treatments (completed in 2022)or if I had an EpiPen.

Sometime after the appointment I called asking for an EpiPen prescription. Someone returned my call and said I needed to have allergies in order to have one prescribed. I let this person know there was an IgE report on file, however, was told it wasn’t in their system. I then dropped it off in person and let the receptionist know this was the 2nd time bringing it in and asked if she could please put it in their system. Received another call back only to be told I needed to undergo allergy treatments and was asked if I wanted an appointment but I said no.

I’ve recently returned back to my former pcp as a cash patient…

The doctors are great, thats the only reason anyone will put up with the rude management.
The management sucks. Have been trying to get my medical forms released for over weeks, have been getting no response. Talking to the same person for weeks, she says someone will call back. Have not received just a rude answer SAYING SOMEONE WILL CALL BACK.

Literally just looking for my personal information to get transferred to a specialist AS I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Hope the management looks into the reviews.

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel like I am out of options. This is a PSA if you plan to use PIH for an annual physical and do not want to get charged additional fees.

I visited PIH for the first time in October 2023 and did my annual physical which is fully covered by my insurance. I received a bill in December for a second outpatient and preventative medicine visit. I was confused by this charge and reached out to the billing team and Cerritos office managers. I was informed I was charged due to my answers when I was asked how I was doing by the doctor during the annual physical. I have always been able to speak openly about my health or if I felt anything was wrong during an annual physical and was not informed by PIH that doing so would result in an additional charge. I believe this is a misleading practice and feel taken advantage of since it was my first time using PIH.

The office managers and billing team both informed me that there is nothing they could do, and the office managers mentioned that they have been charged in the same manner before by PIH and just did not want to fight the charge. As such, I have to leave a review so others know this before using PIH.

I've been going here for several years. I can't fathom giving it 1 star; a 5-star rating is much more appropriate.

I originally treated with Dr. Csepanyi, and he was great. My new PCP is Dr. Ho and he's a revelation. For one thing, he's a conscientious physician. He listens carefully and examines thoroughly. For another, he's uniquely adept at issue spotting. He's picked up on things that my specialists have missed. He clearly possesses an encyclopedic mind. Even better still, he's judicious--yet highly effective--in his treatment plans.

Bottom line: If you're looking for strong, quality primary medical care, this is the correct choice.

I took my new insurance card to them and ask an assistance to make a copy. She told me she would call me once my insurance verified. She never called me. So I called back and the other assistance told me that they will make sure contact me before my appt.for my insurance.
However nobody called me until my appointment time. So i did not go.
I like Dr. Jane Kong but I would never go there because of their staff members. They are not responsible.
P.s. I do not want to mention their names.

PIH stands for Poor Inept Healthcare. NP Maria Nunez and her staff at PIH Health Cerritos are dishonest and thieves. I called to make an appt with an In-network doctor. The desk clerk on the phone said the In-network doctor was not available and another NP Maria Nunez was available next day. I asked if she was In-network and what was my copay. She said $5 and no other charges. I set the appt and went in for my visit the next day. I paid the $5 copay and saw the NP. I scheduled a followup checkup two weeks later and same thing. $5 copay upfront. One month later, I get a bill from PIH Health for $210 for an Out-network visit?! And waiting for a fraudulent 2nd bill to come for the 2nd visit. Dishonest business practices! Are you kidding me? Not cool. Why the heck would I go to an Out-network visit and pay $210, Oh cuz they lied to me over the phone and to my face when I paid the $5 copay! Just be honest! Don’t take advantage of sick people! (UPDATE:) PIH Health is trying to make it my insurance responsibility. WTH?! PIH Health “takes responsibility” for the mistake by trying to make my insurance cover the costs? Super irresponsible PIH Health! If you make a mistake you should own up to it, not brush off responsibility to my insurance company. Dishonest and lacking Integrity. Never again PIH Health. This is not how you run a successful business. This is called theft and deceit. Make it right by doing the right and honest thing! PIH improperly trained staff made the error, not my insurance company!

This review is for the Cerritos pediatric and lab. Poor service, phlebotomist with an attitude. Highly unprofessional. My son’s pediatrician ordered the anemia blood test done on his arm even though he just turned two. The phlebotomist Vanessa was not only incompetent, poking my son multiple times, but she did nothing to calm him down. When we spoke with the office manager about this, her response was she had not had complaints about the phlebotomist. Incompetent staff and manager all throughout.
