Dr. Oppenheim Is funny, bright and compassionate. Yes, he prioritizes exercise, exactly as a medical professional should. If you're doing your best to age well, I recommend him.

Dr. Oppenheim is a very very intelligent doctor. Having said that, as a patient you need to consider some things. He is very health conscious. So if you do not appear to be the fitness enthusiast he is, he may be condescending to you. Meaning, talking down to you or using profanity with you. My experience with him was very poor. He did not listen well. He assumes what he thinks you are going to say and in turn misses things. He used a lot of profanity during the exam and attempted to belittle me. He prescribed a medication for my condition that is an (Extended Release E.R.) medication. Instead of using the recommended introductory dose, he used a moderate to high dose. I almost ended up in the ER. My pulse rate sky rocketed and I had a head ache the was unbelievable. ALERT, ALERT:(HERE IS THE SCARY PART) He then called me and told me to cut the extended release pill in half and take it that way. (THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT THIS IS NOT ALLOWED WITH EXTENDED RELEASE PILLS) This could be life threatening because when you cut an extended release pill in half against the proper safe dose recommended you can get all the medication at once instead of over a period of time. Dr. Oppenheims response to me when i asked why he recommended this was "Well that's what doctors with experience do." Well no thank you. I'll go else where. I do not want a doctor that acts like a cowboy treating me. He is arrogant and rude at times. For some, his knowledge out weighs his arrogance. But for me, I would not put my life in this man's hands. Since i am insured, I do not have to put up with an ego and arrogance. I work hard to be insured and I pay for these visits myself. I will not pay for that type of service. You make your own choice,your life may depend on it. For me, no way. I do not trust this man,....... at all.

I couldn't be more disappointed. In May of this year (2018) I had terrible pain in my knee and called Dr Oppenheim. I left a message and never heard back. The pain was so terrible that I had to go to the emergency room (with no direction or help from my primary care physician). I was informed that I had a double meniscus tear and to find a surgeon. I again called and left a message for the doctor with no call back, letting his office know it was an emergency. No return call. That night I again had to go into the emergency room and found out there could possibly be an infection and I was rushed to the hospital and into surgery. 3-4 weeks of being in the hospital and now 5 months later I have not received one visit or phone call, nothing from Dr. Peter Oppenheim. Needless to say, if your healthy great- if you actually need someone to care for your well being and help you through the process... it just doesn't seem to me that Dr. Peter Oppenheim has the time for you. He didn't have the time for me.

I had a great experience with Peter Oppenheim as my doctor. He is smart and responsible. One time I asked him to forge my TB test results and he said no which is very responsible because that is illegal! I didn't have TB! Don't worry. also maybe he looked at a rash once but i can't remember i get rashes a lot and have a lot of people look at them. I hope someday I can be as cool a doctor as him with a very cool kids and a very cool wife. his daughter has some of that cowboy attitude though and i do not like her! can't win them all huh pete 🙂 Also he is related to boney james. What a rockstar!!

I hope that if I ever see this “man” again he sees me first and gets a good running start. I was uncomfortable taking the covid 19 death dart. As he stormed out of the room he said,”for some it takes a carrot, for others it takes a stick.” Dr., take your stick and….
