It wasn’t until Dr Shamekh first approached me in ER, introduced himself while I laid in the gurney in excruciating pain, and said “I am going to help you get better” from this moment I finally felt hope. He was a huge part of my long journey to restoring my health and searching for a diagnosis. He never gave up and searched out every top specialist for my ongoing condition. He always kept me comfortable and was always reassuring that I would get better. That day finally came and we got my diagnosis. He stood by my side and while it was to be a very complicated surgery, he always made me at ease. Without this diagnosis I would have continue to suffer for a long time. Thank you Dr Shamekh for never giving up, because of you I have a chance at living a normal life now.

Pejam David Shamekh MD, I am so blessed that I have this wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts on this doctor. He is a highly intelligent and knowledgeable physician who has been in my life for years now. Around 15 + years. He has always had a lot of my respect for the care he has given me. I have been in poor health for years now and I feel very fortunate that I have a doctor who is able to provide me with the information that I need to know to help make the best decision about how to proceed with my current condition. I want people to know that If you are looking for a new doctor you will not go wrong with making your first appointment with his office. He will have a lot more information on how to proceed with your decision to get to know him and make him your new physician. I have so much to say about him but I can’t even imagine what my life would be like without him taking care of me. He has been very good to me and he has a wonderful attitude towards me and I trust his skills as much as I trust him.

So I came to Sr Shamekh from Cedars-Sinai where he was fantastic, however his office was a different experience. I guess I was the “forgotten” patient because I had been to this office twice and the receptionist had no idea who I was at first, then I needed 1 very simple emergency prescription called in which I went back and forth with them for 3 almost 4 days just 1 prescription…needless to say it’s now past the point of emergency; unfortunately. I called and called, even texted the receptionist and got nothing not even a response as to what was happening. They are too overwhelmed and I felt like they just could care less.

How can you have 5 stars? You deserve Zero star!
You poisoned my mother with the wrong antibiotic no once but twice, within 2 weeks. Your wrong diagnosis with her eye, I could continue... You don't take the time to review notes and make sure you are prescribing the correct meds. Because you have an MD by your name it doesn't make you infallible and superior to your patient, have the guts to apologize.

Dr. Shamekh

I wanted to take this time to thank and recommend Dr. Shamekh. He is an exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable physician who is caring for my grandmother at her nursing home.

My family went through many doctors who had no specialization in caring for seniors. They rarely saw her and always prescribed ineffective medication.

Dr. Shamekh takes the time to know his patients and do whatever is necessary to prolong their lives. His excellent communication skills allow for his patients and their families to know what is going on. It is rare to find a doctor like Dr. Shamekh who makes the time to listen to concerns, and then follow-up with solutions. He’s a rare gem!

Dr. Shamekh also has his physician assistants check on his patients at the nursing home each week.

My family is grateful to have a doctor who cares as much as he does. We recommend him for his hard work ethic, honesty, and determination to make his patients live a comfortable and long life when so many others couldn’t care less.

Dr. Shamekh has a heart of gold! The numerous ways he has showed up time after time over the past years for my family and I goes above and beyond any doctor would. His compassion and knowledge of medicine is unimaginable. I have trusted him with my life and the life of my family over the past several years and will forever grateful for his tremendous amount of kindness and yet bed side manners. Dr. Shamekh we appreciate you and are convinced G-D has chosen you as one of his angels here on earth! Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for us and for our community. Your hard work and knowledge is a legacy!
