I made an appointment over the phone for my child to be taken on as a new patient. I expressed that my family has elected not to vaccinate our child and asked over the phone of this would be a problem. I was simply told something like “You’ll have to discuss that with the doctor during the appointment.” So, a few weeks later, after filling out paperwork, coming in early as asked and waiting to be seen, I tell the nurse who did her intake that she’s not vaccinated. She steps out and makes a comment to Dr. Evans and then comes back and finishes. Then Dr. Evans comes in and dismisses me saying she can’t risk taking my child on as a patient. No discussion. I thought she was quite rude. Interestingly enough, I know of some former patients of hers that she saw for years who were not vaccinated. So why the discrimination with my child? I have some developmental concerns regarding my child and I can’t be heard because my child who is in perfect health isn’t vaccinated only being 1 year old.

They need to inform their scheduler about their policy against non vaccinated kids, because I most certainly asked. It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

I loved this place it literally broke my heart how all of this went down.
I had brought my daughter here since she was born and always addressed a concern of her oxygen depletion when she slept. For months i was dismissed and ignored. If it wasn’t that Dr.evans just dismissed us and pushed us out the office that day and we took her to the ER nothing would of been done. At the ER they immediately saw the depletion of oxygen since i made her go to sleep right away.
I do want to say that i constantly brought it up and Dr.Evans didnt want to do anything. come on atleast a sleep study or check her CO2 level or anything. At the hospital they ofcourse did everything and found the issue. They explain this could affect her development. Like seriously! How can i go back to someone who didn’t want to do anything. It really breaks my heart because atleast if i got an apology or a follow up call or something i would of been like okay she knows im not just a crazy mom but nope nothing since that day. I thought they cared but i was wrong and i should of know it when i was constantly dismissed. Even the Dr at the ER said that because he read all the times i took her in for it! Its noted! He said this could have been addressed with your pediatrician.

We loved our experience with Peachwood Pediatrics, and more specifically with Dr van Beever! You can tell this office really cares about the kiddos. As a first time mom I always had a million questions at my daughters appointments (and even calling the nurse line fairly often) and I never felt like I was bothering them. Not only that, I always received very thorough, helpful answers. We moved out of state and it has been the hardest time finding a doctor that matches the same care we found at this office.

By far the best pediatric office we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of for the last 3 years. From Newborn visits to middle of the night calls, Every Doctor we have seen, even the nurse and on call doctors at night are very thorough, super helpful, and caring. Dr Evans and her team have been the best for us so far. Definitely recommend

I called to inquire about potentially setting up an appointment for my soon to be 2 year old. We have just moved to the area and read a ton of great reviews on Peachwood. When I called the receptionist was extremely rude and told me that I needed to call my insurance to see if I could even be seen by one of their doctors, when I’ve never had this issue in the past. I have blue cross and blue shield insurance. She also told me that even if they could see me it would be at least 2-3 months as they are booked. Needless to say we will be going elsewhere!

Horrible place. Dr. Morgan and staff were amazing. Dr. Alifano only cares about money not your children. We paid our bills always only to get hate mail from the doctor himself stating if we won't pay, he won't see us. Well we had paid already AND they still will not see us. Disgusting practice. The new staff hung up on me when I was questioning why we didn't have my daughters' 9 month shots scheduled yet at 10 months.

The schedulers here are next to useless. We moved here from San Diego and this place came recommended. From the start we felt unwelcome as I was scheduling both my kids for their first appointments. The lady on the phone sounded like she couldn’t be bothered to take down our details.

Nonetheless, we kept the appointment because I thought maybe it was just me misinterpreting the tone. The nurses are great but the doctors, we’ve now been coming for several appointments and have never even gotten to meet the doctors. Compare this to UCSD, where we were before, and every appointment there the doctors would come in to pay a visit and make sure everything is alright.

Then there’s scheduling appointments. Not just simple check up appointments, but critical ones where the kids are going to receive vaccines. Especially critical given the outbreak or Measles. I go in to the appointment and they tell me it was scheduled for next YEAR when it was supposed to be this year. So the scheduler not only can’t be bothered to take patient details the clinic requires, but they schedule appointments for the wrong YEAR. And they don’t even try to fit us in to fix their mistake, instead I have to wait two more weeks for the next appointment.

Coming here has been like pulling teeth from the start. I should have listened to the red flags.

Just called to try to get my daughter seen for her first visit when they informed me they can see she has secondary insurance that is not accepted. I never wanted anything billed to her secondary insurance to begin with so it makes no sense. It seems like they just want multiple ways to bill people erroneous charges which is probably why they lost business with my secondary insurance to begin with. Taking my business elsewhere.
