The admin team at Serenity is probably the best I’ve encountered; they always answer the phone, often are able to resolve the reason for your call immediately and they do it in a varying way!

Paulene Jean-Baptiste was amazing and the staff was great. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because they did a price increase a few months ago tripling the cost for a self-pay patient. For financial reasons, I was unable to continue my therapy at Serenity and have had to work with another group for care. If you have insurance, though - I highly recommend Serenity and, specifically, Paulene!

I would avoid at all costs!!! It is focused on making money more than your mental and emotional well being. They implemented a policy where if you are 10 minutes late then they hit you with a 150 late fee. They are completely unwilling to be flexible or accommodating to circumstances should you not be able to be on time. I even spoke with the office manager and explained my situation. She said “it was policy so they would have to charge me.” She agreed the policy was onerous, but refused to do anything about it.

The care provided was pretty standard. Most providers are decent. I was neither impressed or discouraged by the care from the provider. I wasn’t able to build a deeper rapport with Paulene,
unfortunately. I say that to be fair to her since there is only so much that can be done after a single appointment. The company was simply so bad that I chose to stop seeing her.

I suggest Redemption Psychiatry if you’re in the Phoenix area.

Update:
To prove the point about the complete apathy of care for their patients their response of "Please call us as patient satisfaction is important to us" I was literally IN THE OFFICE talking to the OFFICE MANAGER about my issues and concern. If patient care was genuinely important then it would have been handled during that conversation and I would have posted a very different review. I hope those reading this post are not deceived by their lack of care for patients. To be clear, this isn't about Paulene - this is about the office staff and Serenity Health as a company.

Here is what a genuinely empathetic response would have been. "Hello. Thank you for replying! We can understand the impact of $150 charge for a single late appointment or late cancellation. Serenity understands life happens and there are occasions where patients are late from circumstances out of their control. We will be reviewing that policy and updating to enable our office staff to address situations as they occur."

Their response seems more like "Oh no! A bad review! Quick! Someone do damage control without actually doing anything of substance!"
