Don't bother.
Not only will you get misinformation about how much you owe and your coverage, but you'll get a surprise charge of $1,000 and no way to get ahold of the billing department after 3 weeks of calling and emails. It's disappointing because my spouse and I have had great experiences with the therapy itself, but the billing has been terrible. Go elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible experience. I should have read these reviews first but my insurance company referred me to Path and implied this is the main service they use, so I hoped for the best.

My mistake.

It was nothing but problems every step of the way. Here's how my experience generally went:
I set up an account after being referred by my insurance company and chose my therapist from the displayed options.
I got an email from Path saying my therapist accepted my insurance. Cool! Scheduled an appointment, and the day of...she didn't show up. Waited 15 minutes. Called the support number and a support worker told me the therapist is unreachable and I should get a follow up email very soon.
Days passed and no one followed up with me. I reached out to support where they told me there was a glitch in the system. Then in the portal I saw TWO therapists with the exact same name assigned to me...? The new one had a different picture. And an appointment with the "new" therapist was set for a random much later date. What? In that same email, support asked if I'd like to reschedule with my original therapist, which I gladly did for the next week. But then a day later I was told in another email that my therapist in fact does NOT take my insurance and I'd have to start over by picking a new one. No thanks, I'm done.

So was there even a glitch at all? Why did that therapist show up in the portal if she didn't take my insurance? Who was that doppelganger therapist?

Seeing all these other reviews mentioning billing issues, it seems they're just completely incompetent. I'm almost glad now I didn't get further along with them because at least I didn't get any false charges like some other reviewers did. Though they have my CC info so I guess I'm going to have to monitor that and make sure they don't charge me. Ugh.

Stay away from this mess of a company.

Absolutely the worst psychiatry / therapy platform I've ever used. No way to contact psychiatrist other than to email support to which they'll get back to you in a few days after they reach out to your psychiatrist for you, rather than allowing you to do so yourself. In a moment of crisis? Need a med refill? Well you're out of luck because you're not gonna hear back for a few days.

On the therapy side, I've had the last 3 therapists i've attempted to see (as in booked appointments with) cancel the day of. Mind you it's usually a few weeks if not over a month to even get an appointment with a therapist.

Website design / UI is terrible across the board. There isn't even a login page, but rather you get a one time link to login sent to your corresponding email each and every time you want to access the site. Absolute embarrassment of a company. If I could give zero stars I would.

Ok listen, I'm sure these 1 star reviews are accurate to each of those person's experiences. However, my experience has been mostly pretty pleasant. Solid therapists in network, they take my insurance and I've had no surprise bills, no sudden cancellations by the therapists, etc. Feel free to chose another therapy provider if you'd like, but personally Path has been pretty good for me.

I wish I read all of these reviews before I signed up with Path. My therapist has been great, but I have never had to deal with this level of incompetence before. Path's billing team is absolutely terrible, and they are forcing me to pay my outstanding bill even though they are the ones not able to file claims correctly. Absolutely terrible

We are filing a class action lawsuit against PATH! PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA GOOGLE MESSAGE asap if you have fell victim to their services or experienced negligence on behalf of their staff or therapist! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! Do not sign up with their services. They make you input your credit card info and will find any way to keep charging you. There is no way to delete your credit card info when you sign onto the portal. When you call their customer service line they won't give you answers then they will email you to tell you too bad and you will not get your money back even with sufficient evidence this is their fault. I found a forum online of people who have been burned by path services and we are talking to a lawyer in order to file a class action lawsuit against path, please DM me if you are one of these people and want to be part of moving forward with the lawsuit.

I attempted to schedule an initial consult with a therapist who is signed up with Path.

I received an email and text directing me to Path's website to complete intake.

My Spidey senses were activated at the last page which asks for insurance AND a credit card. The forms could not be submitted without a credit card.

I asked myself, don't they verify coverage first like every other provider I've been to in my 51 years on the planet?

I sent an email to Path explaining I hadn't even spoken Hello directly to the therapist, and was not sure he was even the right fit. I asked if there was another option available, did they not verify insurance, and if it wasn't the right fit did my card get deleted?

I received a message back from support, someone named Lorenzo Pineda, who explained they needed a card. My other questions were not answered.

My name appeared nowhere in the reply. Just a case number. So people are just numbers to Path?

I have had therapy before and I have never experienced this level of impersonal, corporatist money hungry nonsense. I feel like I'm dealing with tech support about a computer issue, not an organization that claims to be involved in helping people.

This kind of gate keeping is off putting. People with mental health issues already struggle to seek help and seek human connection , wanting to be seen.
Path's approach creates barriers and lacks any human connection.

I seriously question the competency and compassion of any professional who signed up with them.

I then did a Google search and every review confirmed what I already suspected.

Absolutely disgraceful. Glad I walked away.

They say they are in-network with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and they are in-network, and Anthem even covered the first few sessions, until Path billing started to make mistakes. After a spending time in a 3-way call with Anthem and Path, it is clear that Path is not submitting the claims properly. Then Path just wants me to pay, and they are slow about fixing anything.
