My mother’s admission to Paradise Valley Manor was a positive experience. The facility is spacious and well-appointed. The staff is professional, respectful, and courteous. The nurse promptly provided me with a seat without being asked. The food is of decent quality, and my mother particularly enjoyed her meal.

During my visit at dinner time, my mother was served chicken tortilla soup, coleslaw salad, a small cup of ice cream, juice, and milk. The staff or nurse even offered me coffee, which was a pleasant surprise. I have not had this level of service at any other staff nursing facility.

I would like to briefly summarize my experience at Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center. This institution always provided me with the attention and comfort I needed, and they would even tell me if anything came up that I could simply just let them know. I'm very thankful to all the staff members I met for their assistance and for making me feel welcome every day while I was there. There was never a dull moment during my stay. They would always go above and beyond to attempt to discover the answer for me if I had any questions. (1st Floor, Physical Therapy, Activities, Social Services, & Maintenance)

I want to express my gratitude most especially to the physical therapy department for providing me with the essential therapy for my injuries. They assisted me in preparing so that I could quickly heal and get back on my feet. (Gemma, Chris, Brenda, Vera, Jojo, Tin Tin & everyone else that I saw working with other patients every time I went to the gym)

Another big thank you goes out to the activities department for their excellent work in organizing something every day for everyone who visits their area. Everyone always greeted me with a huge smile there! (Ellie, Danna, Johanna, Michelle, Geraldine & Fatima)

"For the second time, we chose Paradise Valley Manor for my mom after she was released from the hospital following another stroke. As a skilled nursing facility, Paradise Valley Manor offers professional and compassionate care through its dedicated staff, including administrators, CNAs, LVNs, med techs, RNs, physical/occupational therapists, speech therapists, and housekeeping.

A special thanks to those who showed exceptional care and empathy for my mom: German, Vilma, Edwina, Ana, Cita, Pilar, Diane, Steffe, Geneva, Vanessa, Josie, Chris, Jeremy, Mary, Kristy, TinTin, and Rain. Zaira at the front desk always greeted families and visitors with a warm smile. The facility is well-maintained, clean, and features a spacious, well-equipped therapy room that supports patients' rehabilitation. Activities led by friendly, passionate staff also make the stay more enjoyable.

Many of the employees have been with Paradise Valley Manor for years, a testament to the leadership of Landon Burrup, who fosters a positive work environment, strong morale, and great teamwork.

I cannot speak highly enough of this facility and its incredible staff.

I would like to give thanks to Isabelle and Mari for helping me with anything I needed. They were very nice and helpful. Everyone was very nice and caring. I am very grateful. The food was not the best but they would provide other options or substitutions. The nurses were all very caring, especially when it came to taking care of any wounds. I would also like to thank Jose from maintenance. When he would come in the evenings or weekends, he would always come and help me with anything I needed and he was always friendly and would spark conversation. I also want to thank Richard from maintenance for providing me with headphones. I am very grateful with Paradise Valley Healthcare Center for everything!

I am giving Paradise Valley 5 stars for their stellar service, professionalism, communication, and caring nature across their teams.
They recently took care of my mother, who had fallen and hurt her back, and needed rehab. Their team of nurses were so sweet and helpful with her over the many weeks it took for my mom to recover. They made sure she felt taken care of and that she had whatever she needed, including personable chats.

Their physical and occupational therapy staff were equally great and my mom responded fantastically to her therapy (which was 5 days a week!). I hadn’t seen her walk so well and be something for many years and we were both amazed with her progress from the team there.

To top it all off, once my mom had recovered and was about to be discharged, the whole staff held a surprise going away party where they laid out a red carpet and everything for her to walk down on our way out! We have been to many facilities over the years and nowhere has been close to the positive experience that Paradise Valley was.

Everyone is very nice caring. When I was first admitted here, I could not walk and with the hard work and dedication of Chris and Brenda from occupational therapy and Rain and Gemma from physical therapy who have been very patient and helpful during our sessions, I am able to walk using a walker and do not depend on using a wheelchair as often as I used to. I would also like to thank the wound nurse Wendy for helping me with my wound care. I would also like to thank the med nurse Jackie. The charge nurse Karina is also very nice and funny. Shout out to all the staff on 2nd floor very caring and tending to their patients. Especially Vicky my CNA. Social services have also been very helpful and accomodating to my requests. Shout out to Aleni and Kelly for assisting me with errands. Zaira the recepcionist is always smiling and sparking up conversation. Very grateful to Paradise Valley Health Care Center for helping me get better.

I cannot express enough gratitude for Paradise Valley Manor and Healthcare. When we faced the challenge of finding a skilled nursing facility for our father, who has dementia and was at a high fall risk, we encountered many obstacles. Almost all facilities in San Diego turned us away, but Paradise Valley Manor welcomed him with open arms.

From day one, the staff treated my father with respect, dignity, and genuine care, making him feel like a valued family member. The nurturing environment they provided allowed him to regain his strength and independence—he started walking again and became more interactive.

What truly set Paradise Valley Manor apart was the way they involved our family in his care. Edwin, the director of nursing, and Bri, the social worker, were incredible resources. They kept us updated on his condition and offered guidance throughout our journey, especially during the discharge planning process.

For families facing similar challenges, I highly recommend Paradise Valley Manor. It became a second home for our father, and we will forever be grateful for the love and support he received there.
