DONT GO HERE!! Kaiser sent two of my loves ones here and both experiences were so awful!

First- disabled uncle was here for about 2 weeks and we took him out early. He would wet the bed because nobody would answer the nurse calls. To make matters worse, they would only bathe him twice a week. So, if he wet the bed on a Friday after his shower, he was out of luck and had to wait until Tuesday to get cleaned up! HORRIBLE! Their reply was due to staffing capabilities. That should not be my uncles problem!

Second- mother was sent here after surgery on her femur and she was calling the nurse station for 30+ minutes and nobody responded nor came to help. She wet herself as a result. Can you imagine how embarrassing this must be for someone who is typically able bodied? She left early as a result.

The food looks scary. I wouldn’t feed this to a stray dog!!

How can you operate this way?! The state needs to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!

I cannot say this strongly or loudly enough!

Our mother, a veteran and a patient, was neglected for a short 3 day stay here! The neglect so bad it is tantamount to abuse!

After a fall, the VA referred our mom to PASARC for follow-up rehab. Her button calls fopr toilet help were ignored and consequently she was made to lay in bed in her own excrament for hours! It was only when family arrived to visit that she was cleaned up, by family. The nurses on duty responded that mom was not their patient!

Further, mom was left for hours unattended at a PT appointment, where again, calls for help to the toilet were ignored and again she sat in her own excrament for hours!

Mom was not tended to for for help with movement around the facility, but instead left to lay in bed neglected!

The food was awful! Not just bland, but bad in a way that gave mom a sick stomach! When she complained to the staff about her nausea, nothing was done, no relief was given by way of medicine, as if the staff just did not care!

Truly and sincerely, DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY for your loved ones or yourself.

The neglect which in the end is abusive, is hurtful to a patients dignity and detrimental to their healing! What kind of place has this turned in to?! Shocking and just plain wrong!!

I am impressed by the compassionate care my Mom is currently receiving. The staff is excellent and shout out to Virgil and Jen amongst many of the fine nurses caring for all the people there. I don't know how they do it but I am very grateful for their quality help and care for my Mom. There are exceptional people working there. Thank you for your kindness and care

I had my knee replaced. Stanford gave me several places to go. I found this place and decided to have them bring me here. When I arrived, everyone was very friendly. I couldn't find a better place. The nurses were very professional. The cleaning staff always had a smile. I like the food. It just needs more fruit. The therapists know how to do their job. They all have a good attitude. If you asked me if I would come back here again, I'm still recovering now. I wouldn't want to leave, but I thank you all for taking care of us all. It's not easy, but here there is the best. People

I recently had my right hip replaced at Sequoia hospital in Redwood City. I was then transferred to the Palo Alto Sub-Acute skilled nursing facility where I have been a patient for 4 nights.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I feel so much better now than I did when I arrived, and it is all because of the excellent care I have received. All of the staff members I have met are caring, competent healthcare professionals. They are well trained and well managed and I simply love the care and treatment I have received.

If you or a family member is in need of care in a skilled nursing facility, I highly recommend Palo Alto Sub-Acute.

My father was in worse condition when he left this facility than when he entered. He was supposed to be improving his walking ability, but he has been confined to a wheelchair since he left. Also, some of his possessions disappeared

I was very skeptical about bringing my father here after reading some reviews that wasn’t very pleasant. After his recovery at Palo Alto, I wanted to write my review and share that the team is not only amazing but caring and communicative. The team was truly spectacular and I could not be more grateful for the care the CNAs and Nurses provided for my father. I was so nervous about bringing my father home but the discharge team made the discharge smooth by ordering and setting up everything we needed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My grandmother is 86y/o and was at Stanford Hospital in the beginning of February due to a stroke and it was a really hard decision for us to transfer her to a nursing facility. We were suggested to tour this facility... do not judge this place by its looks! They have a great team here, Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and overall care and attention with patients is unmatched! She was discharged a week ago and still talks about Isaac from activities, Courtney from rehab, and her favorite CNAs Noel and Elvira. Thank you so much Palo Alto team! Highly recommended this facility for your loved one to feel at home doing their recovery.
