My doctor was not the problem. It was his assistant Angel. A totally misleading name. Over the course of 2 months she lost paperwork that UNUM sent the office. They even sent it to her personal fax and she still couldn’t find it. I was told aI would have to make another appointment to see my doctor before he would do the paperwork because it had been so long. I made the appointment for mid January. I had been told that the paperwork was there and assumed that the office manager had confirmed this. The day of my appointment I was running late because of traffic. I called the office to let them know and was told I would have to reschedule. I explained that I couldn’t because of the deadline for the paperwork to be in was just a couple of days away because of the office continually losing the paperwork. I was told I would have to talk to Angel and was transferred to her. She was extremely rude and informed me that she didn’t have the paperwork. I told her I had been assured that the paperwork was there. She said no one would have told me that and basically accused me of lying. She continued to be very rude and aggressive. I same not proud of the fact that I let her provoke me into using language I don’t use. I told her I no longer wanted to be a patient of Dr. Tachan. I was going to let it go at that, but when I started looking for a new primary care I found out that she had put a note in my file saying they had discharged me because of foul language. Amazing that she put nothing in the report about her behavior. I am contacting the state board about this office and if you want a good medical practice, stay away from this one.

I just fired this practice
The Dr I had for 3 years there Julia Hoblovic was great but she quit this past year the new young Dr’s have there heads up their asses.
I have never waited for a Dr less then 10
Minutes
Showed up 10 minutes late and I had to reschedule
Sorry now I see why they only have 2.6 stars a failing grade at best

Brutally hard to speak with anyone in this office. Our Doctor is very good but the staff is weak at best. When they get around to returning a phone call should you not be able to take the call they leave a number that goes nowhere

I now see why this office has bad reviews. My mother has been a patient with this office for over 15 years. I came to visit her over the holidays and heard her on the phone getting the run around from the office because here primary retired with zero notice and they were not faxing a prescription she needed for Medicare reimbursement before the end of the year.

I took over calling 12/27/23 and it took a total of 5 calls over the course 5 hours most which was spent on hold to get this taken care of for her. At 4:30 they assured me they would take care of and the fax sent.

I called back this morning 12/28/23 because it was not faxed and the office was closed? On a Thursday.

The fact that they treat any one especially a senior citizen like this is deplorable. There is zero customer service and they lie.

**Edited. They were closed for lunch. I drove there and requested the fax be sent only to be told they will try to send it by the 'end of day' I offered to say but they declined. So I guess I'll drive back tomorrow at 8am to make sure it was sent.

I went into the office Friday 12/29 to find out why the fax had STILL not been sent. I was then told a Drs visit was needed. They "squeezed" my mother in that afternoon we saw the Dr who FINALLY signed off on

My previous PCP at this office retired and upon that news I immediately asked for a new PCP at that practice. I scheduled a “new patient” visit ASAP but couldn’t be seen for 5 months. One month before the appointment the office calls to tell me this doctor is not taking any new patients and I need to select someone new. Why would she accept new patients and then cancel me after waiting so long? Very frustrating. Why did they originally tell me she was accepting new patients and let me schedule an appointment?

Terrible Terrible at one time a great group of Doctors. IMC doesn't care about their patients the whole system broken for the last two years no one answer the phones, you can't log on to Portal to order your drugs. They blame a shortage of staff, if they pay a living able wages they can hire staff. IMC is own and run by the physicians and they will not spend money out of their pocket to increase salaries. So the patients will suffer, but not this patients, I have moved my entire family over to Physicians Choice part of Sarasota Hospital the offices answer the phones and you can see physician that cares.

Good luck trying to schedule an appointment or call the doctors office. I was on hold for 35min and hung up the phone. They don’t answer their calls during office hours and claim staffing shortages for 2 years now. Funny how intercostal is the only medical group claiming this in the area. It’s not hard to hire someone to schedule appointments, just pay your employees decently. Not cool to try to save money by taking away a much needed service. Stay away from this practice, not worth the aggravation.

I'm very unhappy with the customer service that I received from Intercoastal and Dr.Martin. Avoid at all costs!!!

I have been a patient of Intercoastal Medical Group for over a year. I originally was seeing Dr.Bidle who I really liked. However he left the practice and I was assigned to Dr.Martin. I didn't get to choose my provider. I didn't like his style of healthcare. I thought his methods were outdated and he was very cold and robotic, and didn't seem to care about his patients.

I called the clinic and asked to choose another provider and was told the office manager approved my switch and I could see Dr.Havlovic, who I thought was a better fit for me. I week later I made an appointment with Dr.Havlovic. However when I arrived I was told I was seeing Dr.Martin. No one from the clinic had notified me prior to the switch. I asked why and I was told that Dr.Havlovic was too busy to see me.

After the appointment with Dr.Martin I called the clinic again asking to make an appointment with Dr.Havlovic, and was told she didn't accept me as a new patient and they don't allow for patients to switch doctors. I was told I would have to go to one of their other locations if I wanted to see a new provider. This isn't what they had told me the first time.

I then received a letter in the mail from Dr.Martin saying that he would no longer see me. I found this very frustrating and unethical. I was extremely sick and have had a bad cough for over a month. It is his job to treat sick patients. He clearly was offended by the fact that I wanted to switch doctors, however I don't think it's right to just drop a patient because they asked to switch doctors. The clinic also didn't provide me with an alternative provider that I could see.

I'm outraged by the horrible customer service that I received from this doctor and this clinic.
