One of my sons goes to Ozark Guidance in Mountain Home - my son has tried to commit suicide twice on the medications his counselor has and has had him on - I am not happy with Ozark Guidance and I have tried to talk my son into going somewhere else (he is an adult so it’s his decision) - one time my son went to an appointment there and he told me that he told his counselor he thinks he has ADHD and my son told me his counselor put him on ADHD medication! ~ So I guess a person can just walk in and tell their counselor they think they have something and their counselor will just give them medication for it! I know my son’s counselor has had him on lots of different medications and at time’s several at the same time. I would NOT recommend this place! I wish I could have given this place zero stars, but one star is as low as it gets. I am hoping my son will quit going there and start going somewhere else.

While most of the therapists are good at their job, it is the organization that is the problem. If you have to call in for clients who have issues you better make sure their release of information is current or you better expect they might run out of medication. Trying to setup appointments for the LOCAL office to see the one who prescribes meds you have to call a different office. Then they seem to not know what they are doing half the time as they ether string you along or take forever setting up an appointment.
Any other medical provider, THEY call you or send you something saying there is an appointment coming up. They make appointments ahead of time so you can get it marked on the calendar. This place does for simple counseling, but not for medicated clients.
I do not blame this on any of their workers. It is obvious they are VERY over worked and pushed to the brink. They have lost several good therapists due to poor corporate management. The Corp is in it for the money. The Staff are in it for the job and to help people.
So my suggestion is that if you NEED medication for yourself or clients, seek a less burdened therapy center as there are a few in the area.
If you are just needing counseling then this place should work just fine for you.

Great place if you're an addict looking for a fix. They didn't check into my husband's psych background at all they just took his word for what he wanted. If they had bothered to look, they'd know he was kicked out of 3 other offices for noncompliance because he'd show up for med checks but not do any of the required therapy. And Dr. Reed wrote him for a large amount of a highly addictive sedative even though he's a known alcoholic and drug user who was flagged by multiple offices in another state for abusing sedatives. He admitted a few times to attempting suicide by overdosing on his meds and they did nothing.

So far so good. Dr Reed is very nice and seems to actually listen to you compared to a lot of know it all doctors I'm used to. Staff is friendly as well and I'm always right in and out the door in less than an hour. They also helped me with payments for my visits because my insurance deductible was too high and visits would have been too expensive without their help.

My wife went to this place for two years. She got progressively worse. Whitney Reed should have her license revoked. She is disconnected from her patients. She is very rude and defensive with family members. Horrible experience!

Very unorganized and the ladies at the front desk were very loud and did not seem to care about confidentiality. I was told to come in at 8am for a walkin clinic and then told they were over booked so I would need to come in the next week. You could tell they did not have their ducks in a row. I decided to find somewhere else to go.
