The most fragile part of DreamStation 2 CPAP is the lid of the water
resevoir...it has plastic snap flanges that ultimatley break and render the whole machine unworkable. For the second time Owens has told me I have to buy that myself. However,one employee told me that they "provide all necesarry parts for CPAP operation." But they don't . I tried to explain the lid is required to function...but she persists in telling I have to buy it myself. Not providing the lid does not make sense. But I have had to buy two out of my pockets in the last couple years. I'm very unhappy about this policy that makes no sense

They need to get it together. The female staff here is rude. They talk to you like they hate their job. They are not helpful and won't do their job. I had to do it for them 2 times. First one I had to call innovative and get the model for my mask because the person at Owens said "In my department I can't see the prescription." What?! Filling my prescription is literally their job! Everyone should be able to access my scrip. Second I was sent a new prescription because I was ordered the wrong mask. Was told I could go pick it up by the higher offices but the Yuba City rude girls said that I have to make an appointment, which is not true, and they didn't have my presrciption, which was prob. true. I realized that I had jumped the gun and went home to wait. I called again and higher offices said it was in. Waited a week but no mask sent. Called Yuba rude girls who said no script. Called higher offices and told that it wasn't there. I waited and thought "No. Innovative said they sent it" so then I called again to have them double check and it was there. I had to ask to have higher offices get my mask sent out or for them to show the Yuba City rude girls how to access my script. Yuba City office is completely useless. I will be asking Innovative to no longer have to use this supply company. What a nightmare. What do they do all day if they can't do their jobs? They are either not trained well or they seriously are dumb or just lazy and rude.

I must concur with the other negative reviews. Lisa was rude abrupt and short on anything resembling tactfulness. I was sent the wrong items for my cpap. After calling a week ago and being told they would send the correct parts immediately, I was told by Lisa they are on backorder? When I asked why the app isn't monitored, she informed me it does not work in my case When I asked about a new cpap she said to talk to my doctor to get a new one even though I qualified 3 years ago. She was obviously annoyed that I asked, how will I know when I will get my replacement parts.Answer ( you will get them when we get them ) Sorry to bug you LISA! I hope there is another provider out there somewhere that has some compassion and class!

I just got a BiPAP machine from Owen’s and from the get-go they did not have all of the parts specifically the tube which needs to be heated. After bringing it home and using it last night the machine leaked water everywhere. The tank is defective. Of course they have no way of helping me on the weekend so that will leave me without much sleep this weekend. So far my experience with a Owens has been that they are very incompetent and not very helpful. I would consider another medical supplier if you have medical supply needs.

My doctor sent an order to this facility for a wheelchair after fracturing my ankle/knee which was on a Sunday. I hadn’t heard anything from them so I called on Wednesday and left a message. I still did not receive a call back so tried calling again 2 days later which was on a Friday. A female answered the phone and I told her I was calling to check the status. I also indicated I left a message 2 days prior and hadn’t heard anything back. She was not friendly at all. Her exact and ONLY words were “What’s your name”, “Who’s the doctor”, “We don’t accept your insurance” , “Call Apria”. I understand it was short and to the point but she could of been more courteous about it. Maybe even an apologize that my call was never returned. Also, even with them not taking my insurance they could of at the very LEAST called and let me know. That was an entire week wasted! The person I spoke to definitely needs a fresher coarse in customer service!

DONT USE OWENS IN YUBA CITY!!! I only give them 1 star because I have to! If I could give negative, I would. My husband got a BIPAP from them, and just yesterday, they came to our house to pick it up due to :non compliance. " I didn't let them take it and called Owen's immediately. They stated that he hadn't been using it enough! He uses it EVERY NITE!! They claimed they had been calling since December, yet this is the 1st time we have heard from them about this! They claimed they had sent letters, which also isn't true as I take ALL correspondence from them. Also, not too long ago, we requested supplies from them for the BIPAP. They never mentioned any problem and got the supplies out to us. They threatened that if we did not let them come get it, they would turn it to collections! I called Innovative Sleep Center in Yuba City, and they said they have complete compliant numbers that prove that he's been using MORE than what is required to have insurance cover it!! I.S.C. is calling Owen's to get this fixed, but when I called Owen's, they didn't even try to hear what I was saying. They talked over me and would even entertain the problem might be on their side. They told me they needed to come and get it and that we would have to start ALL OVER again with our doctor to get another. We'll if it comes to that we're going to be using another company!! ....certainly NOT Owen's!!!

They obviously needed the Oxygen tank because they called daily to get updated verification from my Dr that I still needed it. They were pushy about hounding me for the monthly payments we well - between mail invoices and daily phone calls it was ridiculous. At most I was a week late! I was happy to return their equipment and get them off my back.

OWENS HEALTHCARE MEDICAL SUPPLY, YUBA CITY: After having pneumonia in both lungs I needed oxygen for over a year and had to have oxygen tanks to carry around. My lungs were in serious difficulty for a while. Owens to the rescue. The very day I came home from the hospital Owens was there with their equipment and supplies to help me out. They set up everything and got it all set up for me. Even though I felt ill-at-ease with how to use the equipment they showed me everything. They made sure I knew how to use everything until I was comfortable--and they were so friendly and kind.
Having to start oxygen is never a great thing, but having great people to support you is. In times of great difficulty like I had, Owens was there, and I felt a great weight lift off my shoulders. Yes, I still had to deal with all my sadness, and all the new feelings, and the new things, but at least I had one less thing to worry about.
One time after I broke my oxygen tubing, and became unusable, a man from Owens drove all the way out from Yuba City to my families house across town to bring me some new tubing so I could have it. Another time my machine just failed, and again, immediately, they brought out a new machine for me. I cannot say enough good things about the people at Owens, they are awesome.
The only thing I can think of that's bad about them is that they are so far across town--we live in Marysville and their offices are in Yuba City. But, I have to counter that, since they do have a 24 hour hotline and someone is always available should I need them, so I guess that's not really a valid complaint. By the way, they also have a main office up in Chico, too, for people who live up that way.
Today I stopped by their offices to pick up a portable oxygen generator so I can go on an out of town trip with my family. I snapped a few quick snapshots so you can see their office and get a feeling for just what a great place they have.
The Owens people, I have to say, are top notch, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous: As I said, above, I cannot say enough good things about them. And, since I cannot think of anything really negative to say about Owens, they must get 5 stars.
