Took my one year old to get lab work and I was pretty nervous. I don’t remember their names but the staff was amazing, it was over in no time. So grateful

Most likely one of the worst ER you can go to. I am literally not just writing this because i am mad, but because i want to avoid anyone else going through what i went through with my daughter. Even if you have to drive 30 mins to another hospital, it is worth it rather than coming here. Believe me, if you are reading this, be prepared to wait 4+ hours before being seeing and also expect to look for nurses because no one will come to your room unless you say something. Out of my 37 years of going to any ER, this is by far the worst place and most unprofessional place i have ever been to.

The Blood lab at Arnold Palmer is AWFUL- the people there are kind and nice so they are great but the billing is horrid. Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg do not go!!’ They charge your insurance $1000 for basic bloodwork!!!! Awful! Quest charges $200 ($23 after insurance for us) and Arnold Palmer charged over 1k for the same thing?!?! Stay away! They should have to tell you estimated costs before you consent BOTH when the bill comes. What a nightmare. This cost us so much and we couldn’t go to quest because of issues with my kiddos blood collection due to health needs. STAY AWAY! Go somewhere else they can just charge whatever they want without telling you first / d you have to pay it or it goes to collections. I tried everything to get the charges down to a reasonable level.
Not to mention it takes over two weeks to get results and they do not automatically send to the dr that requested it despite have a prescription sent by them. Then they don’t even tell you it’s in. I had to call after two weeks asking where it was and then go online and submit an online request for them to send it to me and then had to rush it because we needed it for an upcoming follow up appt. They then email it to you password protected and it’s a pain. You have to then forward it to your Dr yourself.

Never. Again.

This is my second time going there and both times have been wonderful. But this most recent trip was by far the most outstanding treatment I’ve ever received. Not only was our nurse exceptionally knowledgeable but also extremely reassuring and caring. TAMMY R was phenomenal. She helped my family and I so much with not only in-room care for our newborn but also advice, better understanding, and providing me (a new mom) with amazing help for the future. Because of her I was able to sleep without fear/worry and follow her recommendations for my 2 month old. THANK YOU! {3/31/2019 PM}

I went to Arnold Palmer to get blood work for my daughters allergy monitoring. I decided to go here because they work with pediatric patients. I thought the blood draw would be easier than at the lab I went to the year before. First, I had to wait 2 hours with a toddler to get the bloodwork. They attempted to get blood one time and said they needed an ultrasound machine to find her vein. I pushed back and had them try again because the wait was going to "a lot longer" while waiting for the machine. They finally got her blood, but then it took almost 2 weeks to get the results. Once we got the result we realized that the lab cancelled a peanut test that my daughter’s doctor ordered. They said it was redundant, but my doctor purposefully ordered both test to compare to last year’s results. I would not recommend this location/lab. I am very disappointed.

OMG!! This place is amazing! Our pediatrician called the ER Dr. to explain my daughters situation. By the time we got to the hospital from her Pediatricians office she was already in their system. We practically walked right in to a room! From the second we walked through the ER doors., we were treated with nothing but kindness. Every single person we encountered was absolutely amazing. My daughter ended up needing emergency surgery. They explained every thing down to the last detail. Everyone from the nurses, doctors and surgeons made us feel so relaxed and at ease. They also kept us up to date with texts and pictures during the surgery. This place is AMAZING!! Thank you Arnold Palmer for saving my daughter!! XOXO

Positive experience with amazing staff.
Doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital team is friendly and courteous. God forbid that we or anyone needs them, but this is the right place to bring your children. They truly care for their well being and timely treatment. Thanks to the team for giving us a positive experience.

Very clean hospital, friendly staff. If you go during their non peak hours it's quick turnaround time for walk ins. I'm taking a star off cos I took my 6 mo old for two blood tests and they had to poke both arms and fiddle around quite a bit AND still couldn't draw enough blood for the two tests we needed. So we had to not do CBC. I'm an MD and my mom who accompanied me is RN, both of us felt that the person we got was not very skilled at the job. It is pretty hard to draw blood from little babies, nonetheless we expect the ones working in the peds lab of the biggest children's hospital to be proficient in it. This may be an off day for her or just a newbie starting out, we don't know, so we are knocking only one star off. Otherwise my 2 visits to the lab has been good.
