My wife Patti had an appt at 4P. We arrived at 4P. They got us in right away. Dr. Macko entered and rapidly began explaining that (Because we were late arriving he only had limited time talking to Her, because the (scheduled) was waiting... twice more us being (late) reduced his time discussing her prior test results. After he went over her (test) results, Patti had to tell him the present reason for today's visit. As seniors we felt it was inappropriate to admonish us for not being on time.

Although I have never had an issue with Dr. Macko. The front office at this clinic is by far the most poorly trained office I have ever worked with. I recently called to schedule an annual physical and from top to bottom it was the worst experience I have ever had. In the end they called me 2 hours before my appointment and told me it was cancelled because I am considered a new patient. My appointment was schedule over 2 weeks out but they chose to let me know the day of my appointment. Please be aware of the attitude of the front office before you call and make an appointment.

Any company that insulates themselves from the customer/patient isn't worth your time or money. You can not contact this Optum doctor's office directly. All calls go thru a messaging service. If you need any info that the service can't handle you have to wait for someone to receive a message and then actually return the call. Pray you don't miss said call or you're back to square one. One possible solution would be to mandate that messaging service calls MUST be answered at the office(s)... They'd still be insulated from the patient but at least the patient would have a greater chance of quick resolution. This is solely a failing of Optum and their push for higher profit. (To be clear, Optum is receiving the 1 star. The staff at this location are pretty fantastic.)

Had just moved to Maricopa and changed PCP to a doctor at this office. I was very ill at the time and set up the earliest appt. They asked me to come in 30 prior to the appt for new patient paperwork. I had some difficulty finding the office and arrived about 25 minutes prior to the appt. I was told that since I was late, I would have to reschedule.

I explained about being new to the area and that I had passed out twice the prior day, was feeling weak, shaking and not clear headed. The receptionist told me that they had to first reschedule a new patient appt and then an appt for my illness. Two other employees just stood around silently. I was refused service and told to reschedule. They showed no concern, empathy are desire to help me.

An hour later I went to the local urgent care where I was diagnosed that my potassium and magnesium levels were critically low and also detected an issue with my heart. Pulse was very high and erratic. The ER did not had a cardiologist on staff and worked for 2 days to get me transferred to Banner Desert where I was treated for the electrolite problem and a cardiologist treated the heart issue. I was hospitalized a total of 6 days.

I have since moved to another primary care physician.

Very dissatisfied and will not recommend this practice

Care is on time and my doctor Dr Stoeckmann listens to me fully before asking follow uo questions. We discuss the issue, she suggest a plan of treatment and we proceed to a positive outcome. The whole office is pleasant and genuine.
