In terms of medical care received-just okay. In terms of administration, terrible. Trying to get physical therapy for a chronic back condition, I learned that the proper form hadn’t been sent. Tried to call the referrals number and waited on hold for 20 minutes…then the line dropped. Not once but twice!! Then tried to call physician’s office and wasn’t able to get through there either. Since moving to Optum, New Pueblo Primary Care has markedly declined in service. I’m now considering moving to another provider.

Optum corporate has decided to use a central phone system. It is terrible, the worst medical phone system I have ever dealt with. It is totally unresponsive to both the patients' needs as well as the providers'. You can no longer go directly to your doctor's MA to leave a message. The options are confusing, and to get anywhere you need to choose scheduling. There is no way to get after hour help. Optum has proven it only cares about it's corporate officers and not it's patients or providers.

For 8 years I had an excellent doctor with New Pueblo Medicine. He retired and I was re-assigned to another excellent doc. Then Optum took over and the good doctors all quit or retired. I am looking for a new doctor that actually cares about me as a person - not just another patient. The latest one is very abrupt and fails to follow up after a referral, She also changed my prescription without telling me why. On my enquiry she brushed it off saying it was the same thing from a different mfr. That was either a lie or lack of knowledge since it was a completely different active ingredient. Lost my trust!

Staff is always super helpful, and Dr. Quermit is very nice Usually can get me in quick when i need it. Visits feel rushed sometimes though, but that seems par for all Healthcare these days. Miss the days when they were New Pueblo Medicine.

Second review. Saw Dr
Tooley's assistant. Concerned about A1c. Need blood work in 3
months. Someone will call to schedule. They called a couple of hours later and left a voicemail. Tried to call back. Phone would answer I made my selection and it would hang up. Tried calling again and again. Same thing. Finally went over there. Lady tells me that the phone system doesn't work with Verizon phones! WTH! Glad I didn't have an emergency!

I cannot say enough good things about Optum Care. Their professionalism and kindness have ensured that all my needs are met, and they have even recommended things I haven't considered. Thanks to their exceptional medical care, my health is objectively better.

Optum Care's online portal is incredibly convenient, allowing me to manage many aspects of my healthcare from home. I am particularly impressed with the variety of services they offer in one location, including blood work and eye care. Optum Care truly provides comprehensive and accessible healthcare.

Providers are great but Optum is not an improvement. I’ve been with this practice for many years and I loved it. But since Optum Healthcare came in, these good people have to jump through corporate hoops. Billing goes through Las Vegas - good luck.

I knew everything was different when I went in to get a blood draw. I had already checked in, they have my insurance, but while I was sitting in the chair for the blood draw, the technician was required to wheel a payment machine in front of me. This is really insulting.

The real problem here is for-profit companies preying on medical patients *and on doctors*.

I don’t blame the doctors. It’s not their fault. Unless we all speak up, this is all going to get worse.
