Always receive a warm welcome when checking in. Everyone is kind and helpful. The care I get when I see Colleen is outstanding. Very caring and interested in not just the treatment of me but, me as a person. She listens and never makes me feel like I'm not just a body. Her warmth and true feelings for those she cares for are above what alot of care givers ever give. One of the best in my opinion.

They took over my old office And favorite doctor. It was an adjustment getting to know them and building credibility and rapport with a new office staff and a new doctor and Dr. Colleen Bonner is a thorough and caring no nonsense doctor. She’s rose to a bar that was set incredibly high And exceeded it. She genuinely has your best interests at heart And it shows in her patient care. Thank you Dr Bonner.

Dr Pierrend really listens to me as a patient. He also makes me an active participant in my healing. He doesn’t just hand me a prescription and say take this. He’s great at explaining things to me about my body and what’s going on with it.

His MA Abbey is THE BEST! This lady goes above and beyond to take care of their patients! She also makes it super easy to get in touch with her whenever I need to. And when there’s something she needs to consult with Dr on, she gets back to me with an answer quickly as well. I can’t say enough good about all the staff at the location of Optima Medical who have helped in my medical care!

My entire experience was outstanding. The front desk staff were courteous and efficient. I was handed a touchscreen tablet to input the information needed with a very simple user interface. My appt with Dr Pierrend was right on time and as always a complete and caring examination. He's been my primary care physician for many years and is the BEST! Also ... a special shoutout to Elizabeth who conducted my circulation testing. A very talented, personable young lady. All in all a stress-free experience. Thank you Optima!

Dr. Arpino is always pleasant and takes time to listen to me and offer helpful suggestions and alternatives. He never talks down to me and I feel we work together well as a team for my care. When I asked about an EKG, he didn't make me return to set up another appt., but immediately called in a PA to take it for me and I didn't have to wait for results.
The practice had a great phlebotomist who left, so I was apprehensive about the new one, but she is great too. It's convenient to have bloodwork tests available in the same building, and the facility itself is in a good location and on the 138 Valley Metro route which is helpful.
The weakest link in the practice is the way scheduling and general questions are handled. Upon leaving, I was given a printout with the next appt. without any consultation with me about dates and times that work best for me, so I had to change it and that was an unnecessary step and the presumptuousness of setting up a random appt. for me did not make me feel respected.
Also, when I called to make my bloodwork appt. and specifically asked about the times, I was not told about the lab being closed for lunch so when I came, I had to wait around and that was not a good use of my time. When I texted that I should have been informed about the lunch hour, the response I received was "We always have our lab tech take lunch from 12 to 1pm." Notice there was no apology for my inconvenience or for not providing the complete information, just telling me what they "always do" as though I'm supposed to know that.
The questionnaire that you have to fill out with only yes or no answers also needs some improvements since binary answers rather than also allowing for N/A or Unsure and without a way to add additional information can result in inaccurate records.

At the front the receptionist where so nice and polite, my nurse was nice too, and the Doctor Miss Pam was awesome.. Love that she has alot of experience, I was glad i was able to talk about how i was feeling and that I was being understood, they where able to get the documents they needed from my past ct scan quick too.. Im glad me and my girls are coming to this office now. Room was clean and everyone is professional..

Always friendly the wait isn't long. Follow up appointments great. Front desk friendly and helpful. Nurses are great and clear on what you're having done. Today, I was scheduled a test to check on flow of blood to my feet. The technician couldn't do it due to my double mastectomy. I love ❤️ that questions are asked about previous health issues. Thanks

I just recently moved to the Phx area and was looking for a new Primary Care Dr. I’m lucky to have found Dr Arpino. My first visit was a very comfortable & caring experience. He was very attentive & listened to my concerns and I feel confident I will be in good hands. I am very pleased he is my new primary care Doctor. Everyone in the office is friendly and attentive.
