My mom became a full time resident at Ocala Health and rehab a little more than a year ago. Once we got her into Medicaid, Christina the Medicaid advocate person between us and the facility told me that if she had to place her mom, this is one of two in the area that she would use.
From the initial admission process, to her final days, Ocala Health and Rehab lived up to all of our expectations. I even had the directors cell phone to text him if I ever had concerns. My mom became part of their family, and they became part of ours. Yes, there are always some issues that arise, but none that we could not get resolution to. We did make ourselves a regular visitor for mom, and that in itself made us part of the good experience. I highly recommend this facility over ANY of the private pay facilities. They took the place of any hospice, right down to mom’s final days, in ways that hospice could never have done. Thank you Patricia, Ricky, Rob, Jamie, Dawn, Julie, Kathy, and last but not least: Cloris, Tracy, and Josh. Also, Karen and Mary in the billing office, as well as Pat on the front desk. I know I have missed folks, so forgive me. Cindy and I Love you all.

Ocala Health and Rehabilitation is an excellent facility! This is my family’s first experience with a nursing home. We are so grateful for the wonderful care our Dad receives! Everyone who works there that we have met are outstanding. The South Wing has exceptional staff!! We are very thankful for Pam, Carmela, Rob, Christian, and all the staff there. I appreciate my phone calls being answered or receiving a call back if not available when I call.
Thank you very much!!

If I could give no stars that’s what this place would get! My sister went today to see our Dad and seen his Vest with his Military Medals were on was missing she went to the nursing desk to report it missing with no results of where it was nor anyone to look for it. She was told she would have to talk to the Social Workers Monday 12/9/2024. This is not the first time our Dads things have come up missing and or stolen from this place. Here’s the list of our Dads things that have come up missing and or stolen.
5 phone Chargers
32 inch TV
Batteries for his remote
Blanket his wife brought him
Wire Frame prescription Glasses
Great Grandson Picture
Great Grand Daughter picture
Now His Vest With His Military Medals. This place is a breeding ground for irresponsibility when comes to patients and their personal items or a Bigger Problem of In House Theft!! The Social Workers are a bit to be desired and the Administration no different. Ocala Health and Rehab Find our Dads Vest!! Local News Stations are at our Finger Tips!!

What a dark, unclean place. My sister had continued issues with sores, getting to appointments and permitting the necessary care. Meal stands were rusted. Toilet paper holders were rusted. Dirty floors, curtains and linens. I finally was able to get her out of that horrid place!

I have been here for therapy after an accident. The P.T. here, is great; as well as O. T.
They are all very kind, caring individuals. The whole staff, including dietary, does a wonderful job! The licensed staff do a pretty good job. My only issue, and NOT the nursing staff, was wound care. When I went to doctors, I informed them that the upper area of my wound, looked like it needed more time to heal. She removed them anyway. I feel I should've been recognized

This place is bad. Patients aren't cared for as they should be. People in the office will lie to you to your face. There all about the money. My was put on private pay and they never told us. They keep saying they were applying for Medicaid. Best thing we ever done was to move her out of there.

Let me start by saying it's a daunting task looking for somewhere for your loved ones to be cared for genuinely, especially the elder ones and give you peace of mind the Admin's here from the start made it a welcoming and warm environment, Mr. Tyler when I walked in his office big smile, had all the paperwork in order and was already briefed before we arrived from the hospital, tho he was a Seminole fan (gator here 🐊) I was able to overlook that lol due to his astounding character and professionalism, Mrs. Patty was amazing as well so it has been quite the journey 1 week at hospital and then walking into rehab, 1 month and half later my grandmother could barely walk to standing upright and walking, so from scares to relief from long nights and early mornings, the staff on the south wing was so attentive to her and their patients, everyone was always hustling and answering room bells and smiling, laughing and singing some were, and genuinely caring for their people, they put on big nice holiday events which the family was invited and encouraged to come, for Thanksgiving🦃, and Christmas🌲!.

So I want to thank everybody involved, in her recovery her therapists April Dunbar and her team, Her nurses Camella and Lyanne and their team, CNA'S Daphne, Jessica, Megan and the rest of the south wing team! Her social worker Ms. Sarah, the behind the scenes family and friends, and extra special thank you to Ocala Health and Rehab again for taking care of my Grandmother and getting her physical health back. If you were questioning going because of something you may have heard in the past don't, just go see for yourself and least sit with the administration and take a tour. Ps. Sorry rest of crew I didn't get more pictures we still love you all.

I am EXTREMELY UPSET that Mr. Ricky Page, the “Administrator”, over at Ocala Health and Rehab has not done anything about the non working portables throughout many years for family members to get in contact with their family members situated at your facility. All of your endlessly, hardworking staff(East Wing)hardworking staff do their best to try and transport portables. All I get from the nurses station is that they have non working phones. My, Grandmother, Filiberta Rodas,; Room 31, East Wing is hard of hearing. I cannot even communicate with her through her cell phone due to the fact of her progressing hearing loss. I brought this matter to Ms. Patty’s attention a bit over a year ago. She mentioned the matter would be taken care of(if she recalls). It is recommended that all your staff members sit down and gather together and discuss the improvements in your phone lines. Starting from the front desk. Mr. Page needs reprimandment, Fired. apparently he is not doing his job well, also getting paid so well, if I’m not mistaken.
