I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes prior to my scheduled time. Upon checking in I was told I would need to pay a little more than I anticipated. Considering the options which were to reschedule, or go grab the rest of my copay. I decided to grab the other money that was needed, I definitely didn’t want to put off what I had already waited on. Only to be told I was still going to need to reschedule my appointment. Not because I didn’t show, or arrived late on my behalf, but instead doing what I was given an option to do. I would not recommend anyone to use this specific location.

This place has been abysmal to deal with. The lack of communication and ability to help is atrocious. I lost close to 10 weeks of time trying to get help for a ruptured disc. Several cancelled appointments and excuses for days. Do yourself a favor and go to another spine specialist. I ended up getting care at Carolina Spine. Real care with quality and understanding. So infuriated with the care I received with Novant Health & Soine

If I could give a no stars I would. The worst service ever I had to experience at this location. I went in for my first appointment after finding out that I have neck pain issues. I emailed my doctor since Wednesday. I also called the office that Friday about my serve neck pain that was not being controlled by the medicine that my doctor provided. I was told to go to the Emergency Room to been seen. I was very puzzled on why would I have to go to the ER, create another bill when I have a doctor already that specialize in my neck pain issues. So why would I go to the ER, very unprofessional and had to deal with the neck pain myself over the weekend. My doctor also referred me to Physical Therapy which they provided me with the incorrect address, so guess my appointment was rescheduled a month out. Unbelievable. I had to search for my own PT. I have never experienced anything like this. I would not suggest this location at all. Poor customer service. Since then I have requested a new provider and oh course I am waiting on my doctor to release me and approve me to go to another provider. I have also reached out to the person that is over all the doctor's at this location.

This visit was unnecessary and a waste of time and transportation money. The person making the appointment was very unhelpful and should have told me that this doctor and this practice was not well suited for my problem. I was tricked into making the appointment. As a senior citizen living off of SS, I find this very irresponsible and disgusting.

My appointment with Joseph Shane Stewart, PA-C was wonderful from beginning to end. I was in a lot of pain and could not drive and was late to my appointment, they worked me in inspite of my tardiness, very grateful. Joseph Shane Stewart is a genuine kind and compassionate person. I felt well cared for and this was my first appointment. From the from desk check in to check out. Kindness from beginning to the end. Thank you!!!

Novant Health Spine Specialists have been great through my whole process, from day 1 of meeting them to 12 months later of back surgery and my recovery progress back to a mobile guy again. Dr. Berry-Candelario, his PA Gretchen Jopp and the whole team have helped greatly. I don’t wish back surgery on anyone, but if required, please check them out. It has been a very positive experience!

If you don't mind being herded like cattle- this is your place! I have had two experiences with Ortho Carolina... both were horrible. Last year I ruptured my Achilles. ER sent in a referral... crickets. We called them instead of waiting and made an appointment. To their credit they did get me in right away- with a PA of course. god forbid if you see a doctor now days. He confirmed my Achilles was ruptured and they'll get me scheduled for surgery. I asked how long will it be and he told me around 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!!! We left there and saw a podiatrist on a Tuesday and had surgery on Friday. A couple weeks after my surgery they finally called to schedule me in.
I broke my back the last part of May and spent 10 days in the hospital. While in the ER somebody from Ortho Carolina came in and told me I would be hearing from them once released from the hospital. After being out of the hospital a few days I just happened to have an appointment with my Primary doctor. She sent in a referral on the 11th of June. Again crickets... We called and they got me in the next day. Again, with a PA. Super good guy, he saw me me, we scheduled another appointment in 6 weeks.
Here it is the 3rd of July and guess who called me and said they have a referral for me. Broke my back in May- didn't hear from them until July. There is no sense of urgency with this group doesn't matter if you ruptured your Achilles or break your back, your pain does not matter to them, they'll get to you when they get to you. They have grown beyond their capacity to give quality care in a timely manner.
