It was a rainy day and I was craving a bloody mary. This golf course cafe and bar is a hidden gem. It's nestled in Redwood trees on a beautiful golf course. I have been there a few times. They have a delicious chicken fried steak and eggs. But this day we had burgers. The burger was huge and juicy. They give you a generous portion of fries, too. The service was nice and attentive. I love sitting at the bar in comfortable office chairs.

Great place to grab some good food. The staff is very friendly and the service was great. It wasn't too busy and the order didn't take long to come. The surrounding area is really nice, golf course and resort close by. The price was affordable, and the dish size was really filling. Overall, I would recommend stopping by if in the area.

Like to tried fried chicken mashed potatoes and gravy, but nomore, then I ordered BBQ pulled pork salad and Philly sandwich. The foods was good. And on the weekend they have live music.

As we walked in, we were greeted and told we could sit anywhere we would like. This is an older restaurant with a bar in the restaurant. It is older but our meal was great for the price. My husband had the flat iron steak, and was it cooked perfectly. I had the porterhouse steak meal and it was also cooked just the way I requested. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. It is a great place for casual dining and good food. They also have homemade pies that looked delicious, but unfortunately I was too full to try. Maybe next time.

The atmosphere and surroundings are gorgeous. The La-Z Boy chairs at the bar (instead of barstools) is charming. The outside seating area is small but pleasant. Service was slow but overall decent.

The prime rib sandwich was disgustingly greasy. It was dripping fat and left my fingers covered in slime. The fries were good and the Philly cheesesteak was fine.

This place has a nice vibe, in its original ambiance, with accommodating staff. There was live jazz playing that I originally thought was coming from a radio station. For being two men, they had a great sound. There is live music on Saturdays also. The inside is woodsy and the place is surrounded by redwoods flanking the 9 hole ⛳.
The food prices were decent also.

This place is nice, it's on the golf course so amazing views. The food was really good and I enjoyed my stuffed French Toast, I should have gotten some protein. The service could have been a little better, and there was some Fly's but nonetheless I give it 4 stars.

Yet another installment of "why haven't I rated this place yet"
Quite a few years back, I discovered Piner Cafe. The food was delicious, the waitresses were all very nice, the coffee mugs didn't match. It's a cute place. Then I moved to West County. I thought Northwood Restaurant would be expensive, especially because it's connected to a golf course but eventually Boyfriend and I decided to give it a try and were surprised to realize it's the sister restaurant of Piner Cafe. The menu was the same, the food tastes the same (delicious!), SAME SAME!! Each restaurant may have strayed from the other by now, we haven't been to Piner Cafe in years because Northwood is now our home restaurant. Everything we've tried is delicious. The burgers are big and mouthwatering and juicy and messy. We usually show up midday on the weekend. It's dim and feels very 1970s, but that's not a bad thing. The view out the windows is the golf course. If the weather is nice you can sit outside and watch people golf. The prices have definitely gone up in the last few years, but that's the same everywhere you go. Definitely go here if you're looking for delicious American food.
