Terrible service for new patients. I've been redirected by front staff to the employee in charge of new patient applications for a month now. I've left a voicemail every time and have never received a call back. Look at reviews, it seems this is common for this office.
Every time I call the front desk, they redirect me. I've asked several times now if they can tell the new app employee that I'm trying to get in contact with them. Front desk states "If I have time." and hangs up.
Probably the rudest and most unhelpful office I've ever dealt with.
DO NOT RECOMMEND

I am honestly so disappointed in this office. I have been calling for three months as a new patient and kept getting redirected to voicemail. My husband filled out our applications and he was immediately seen. I tried calling several times and kept getting redirected to voicemail. I finally called a final time (maybe fourth or fifth time) and had someone help me, but never called back. I decided to go into the office and waited 15 minutes for them to tell me my application was denied. I had been relaying I desperately needed refills on prescriptions and they tell me the final time I came in that I was denied. Not only am I upset, but I’m just dumbfounded that it took three months to tell me my application was denied. Do NOT see this office as a new patient. You do not want to be treated this way. Especially if you’re like me and needed help with refills.

i really liked Dr. Harrison today! he was knowledgeable, explained things well & LISTENED TO ME! it’s so hard to find a doctor in Tuscaloosa that listens to you & doesn’t rush you out, but I never felt rushed & he answered all of my questions! he was also funny & had a good, chill vibe! i plan to stick with him!!

turned in my new patient application a month ago now and was originally told that it could take 2-3 weeks to hear anything back. well i tried calling for a follow up on my application twice now within the last 2 weeks but both times have been transferred to a voicemail box for the woman that takes care of new patient stuff i believe? there i have left voicemails leaving my number for a call back but haven’t gotten a single returned call about whether i’m going to be accepted or not. and it’s really frustrating honestly.. i’ll update this review if and when i ever get a response back regarding my application.

Used to be a patient here. Left town and came back and reapplied. Got a voicemail 2 weeks later saying I had been accepted. I called immediately to schedule an appointment and was immediately sent to a voicemail for the scheduler "Mariah". That was May 23rd. It is now June 4th and I have not heard back. I called again to ask about the status and the front office said they would get me to their scheduler, Mariah, again. And again, the call immediately went to voicemail. I'm not sure what the deal is, but getting an appointment seems to be nearly impossible since their scheduler has the phone set to Do Not Disturb and never returns a call from any message. Going to give it another week and see what happens.

I am posting on behalf of my sister who was humiliated and refused education. My sister had some lab work come back irregular and she therefore had questions. Jordan Armstrong, CRNP sat in my sisters face and told her that she would not be answering any of her questions because "we would be here all day". As a provider, a part of your job is patient education, and even if you could not have answered all of her questions you could have at least answered ONE! My sister was told that she needed to FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER if she did not trust her. Sorry, not sorry; but when did patients lose the option of being in charge of their own care?! She was treated like a child, embarrassed and left in tears. Jordan Armstrong, CRNP had no empathy, and terrible bedside manner. When her patient began crying out of frustration, and confusion she turned around and walked out of the room. She waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and paid her co-pay to have only 5 minutes of her "trusted" providers time; and received no help. Do yourself a favor, find a provider that will listen to your concerns and not make you feel dumb for asking question.

I filled out all paperwork including medications and complicated medical history. Was accepted as patient and given appointment. That meant to me they saw everything and accepted me as a new patient. Saw very nice nurse practitioner. We talked about everything that I have going on and I felt like I had found a home. Thought everything was great then doctor came in and said they wouldn't take me as a patient. Still crying in parking lot. Rejected, embarrassed and hopeless. Dont know how to find doctor in this town that is willing to deal with patients that have chronic health problems. We are real people, not seeking narcotics just a family doctor who cares about the whole patient. I was made to feel like I wasn't worthy of their time.

I have nothing bad to say about NRPCA. Staff is always friendly and efficient and genuinely care about their patients. I do not feel rushed at appointments and all of my concerns are heard and taken into account. I see Amy Wyatt and Dr. Kemp and I highly recommend them!
