ZERO STARS! This doctors office is completely incompetent! I asked before my apt if they needed to get my medical records before my apt in order for me to get my medications, they told me no just bring the bottles. After waiting 2 hours the doctor wouldn’t refill my meds with out my medical files from my previous doctor. I asked the women upfront if they could request them, they told me I had to get them. But when I called my previous doctor they told me the doctors office needed to request them, like I thought. Dr powthalia’s office then told me I needed to come in and sign a paper, she told me to “just stop by”. No consideration, everytime I “stop by” I have to miss work. I finally got the paper work signed and they got my records, I had an apt Monday coming, the woman called me to confirm and then called me right back canceling it bc the insurance hadn’t paid for the last apt. I’ve never had a problem with my insurance not paying I’m sure it is bc of the incompetent office staff. She wanted me to straighten it out before I could reschedule. It is not my job to deal with the medical billing, it is their job. I won’t be going back. Now I need to find a new doctor before my blood pressure meds run out even though I started this process months before my script was going to run out. Also the office and patient rooms are dirty, the surfaces were covered in dust and dirt marks on the walls, I doubt they have sanitized anything in there since Covid started.

This place horrible, its not clean, hot, smells, dusty among other things. The doctor makes fun of the patients, have most patients coming in every 15 days for medications/refills. The doctor have patient cleaning bathrooms or fixing, etc. Blood is drawn without gloves and for pediatrics the office doesn't have the proper equipment for pediatric. All the equipment there is out dated and when you say something about it, the doctor's wife who does billing as well as the doctor would say go somewhere else if you don't like. I would not recommend this facility you don't know if the information written or what your insurance is being billed is correct.

I had an appointment to come in for a check-up. I was a first time patient, and i came in early to fill out the paperwork. After 20 minutes I happened to look up and notice that they do not take debit, credit cards or checks. They also would not accept my Flexible Spending account card. I really think that this should be something you tell first time patients. I missed an hour of work for nothing and I now have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment at a different doctor.

Does not comply with the law in regards to fees for medical records. Charges a $50 "administration fee" even though only providing 19 pages of records which are all illegible as they are handwritten. Asked Dr. Pothiawala to complete a 4 page document in which he charged $75 for its completion and then refused to fill it out (twice). Complete shyster. Don't trust him. He only wants your money.

I wish i could give this pos a negative rating. He lied to me about numerous things. I am an amputee and deal with chronic pain. He lied to me and said he would do my pain management, after lying and refusing to do my pain management. He then refused to give me a referral to a pain management specialist, he then lied and said he couldnt do it legally. It is his responsibilty to give referrals. When i asked im what i would do now. He got up and just left the room!!!!
