Dr. Hart was my endocrinologist while I lived in Tallahassee. I thought she was very knowledgeable and helpful and I liked her a lot. Recently, I moved to a new state and got new health insurance that required prior authorization for one of my meds. I began calling the office on 9/3/24 and didn't find out until I received a USPS forwarded appointment notice on 10/14/24 that they would not handle the prior authorization without a new visit (despite me having 6 more months of refills left on the Rx). Why didn't they tell me that when I first called? Or call me to tell me? I am now today--6 weeks later--starting the process of finding a new physician in my new town and appointments are 6 weeks out. I feel awful without my meds and so will be stuck either feeling awful or paying out of pocket until I get in with a new physician. I am very disappointed with how they have handled this matter. It doesn't seem like they care very much about patient welfare after all. For the record, my other Tallahassee MDs have been very helpful with all of the rigamarole related to moving away, changing insurance, and continuing care so this does not seem to be standard practice.

Extremely disappointed that I don’t see Dr. Hart as I see Robin. Being told my levels are normal while my weight goes up and my mood is a roller coaster is defeating. While staff is nice, I hate that my only help is labs, levothyroxine, and sleep apnea ( which I don’t have). I told them I'm experiencing perimenopause only to be given a lab slip to confirm this. I thought as a patient, I mattered. I don’t. Not here. However, let me go figure out how to help myself. Prayers for anyone suffering with thyroid issues.

Terrible doctors office. Doesn't have anything in order. Dr. Hart claimed she had everything sorted out prior to the surgery, and here we are almost 2 months later and she tells us that no one is willing to cover the radiation and shot, so our only other option is for my fiance to stop taking her thyroid meds for 2 weeks prior to radiation. We came apon an agreement with dr hart, and a week into the pre radiation process she dropped us as a patient with no reason. Its been an absolute nightmare going through dr hart. Highly unrecomended.

The staff here is terrible. Leticia at the front and Yolanda, the practice manager are nice, as is Dr. Hart, but the nurses are awful. There is a nurse named Nikki who is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. My sister filled out a form that allows me to talk about her healthcare needs with their office because she works overnight and is sleeping when they are open and cannot call herself, and this nurse called me to tell me not to call for her anymore when she needs a refill on her prescriptions or when there is an issue with her prescriptions. I asked her why it is an issue when my sister has filled out paperwork giving me permission to do this and she would not answer my question instead saying my sister is "capable of calling and of age". It is frankly none of her business if my sister calls herself or not, especially when she filled out paperwork granting me permission to call for her so she can sleep after she worked all night. She then purposely antagonize my sister on the phone when she called back and then when my sister was rude back accused her of "yelling" at her. Dr. Hart needs better nurses.

If you have hypothyroidism/ Hashimoto’s don’t waste your time with this place . Why it’s called North Florida Regional Thyroid Center makes no sense , since they have no clue how to treat thyroid issues . Having had Hashimoto’s for over 20 years I am super knowledgeable about the thyroid , specifically my thyroid . If you don’t convert T4 to T3 and you need T3 medication they will not prescribe it to you in the dose that would actually help you . You need optimal T3 levels not what the normal is in the reference range . All thyroid levels should be optimal and you won’t feel good unless they are . I was hesitant on coming here because of the reviews , however there are not many endocrinologists in Tallahassee . The Girl at the front desk was very nice and so was the nurse practitioner I saw . It’s just unfortunate that this place is not well versed in treating hypothyroidism . I did not set myself up with high hopes so I’m not upset . It’s just frustrating that endocrinologists in general have no clue how to treat thyroid patients . So sick of feeling sick and tired . My advice is you should do some research so you can be more helpful to your patients. Functional Medicine is the way to go , you just need to find one that can prescribe medication.

Dr. Hart is my hero. When my primary doctors were telling me my levels were normal even though I was having severe symptoms, I found a new primary that was willing to refer me here, and I'm so glad that I did. Dr. Hart was able to regulate my medication and I am feeling better than I have in years. She has drastically improved my life, and I can't give enough praise to NFRTC. I have been seeing Robin Byrd for my checkups and she is also amazing. Highly recommend this center.

Great service and I love Dr. Hart. Only complaint is sometimes they'll schedule you a telehealth appt, notify via mail and if you miss it you owe a no show fee. I'm like I never agreed to this appt anyway

Absolutely terrible office. Dr. Hart was dismissive of my questions and ordered a $1000 test, despite her knowledge that it would not be covered by my insurance. She did not alert me to this fact and I only found out about it when the bill from the diagnostic company showed up in my mailbox. To add insult to injury /I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE RESULTS OF THE TEST DESPITE HAVING MORE THAN A FULL YEAR PASS./ On the multiple occasions I emailed their office I got a response saying that they'll get back to me, and they never did. Further they gave my regular doctor the runaround claiming that they "still hadn't assembled the notes from my visit and tests," despite them having been done NINE MONTHS prior at that point. I'd suggest going out of network before going here, and I really wish I could give them no stars.
