Highly recommend, had prenatal care and birthed here three times. Jane Houston is the best midwife. I suggest calling for appointments, the patient portal is a little confusing.

Recently had major surgery here. The physician and his staff as well as the OR staff were absolutely phenomenal. Once I got to my room for a 4 day stay, things changed. The staff were awful, inattentive, and MIA. Had a loved one not been with me the entire time, I would have been in bad shape. There was a highlight to my stay however. Mr Walter Furlow with the nutrition department was very caring. He visited me each day and made sure all of my dietary restrictions were conformed to. He was helpful and went out of his way to make everything as good as possible. I asked for a way to recognize Mr Furlow, but the hospital only allows recognition for nursing staff. So, Walter, here is the best I could do. Thank you, sir, for making a difficult time easier on me.

Love this hospital and the people that work in it. But they need to work on answering their phones in the ob instead of telling someone to leave a message and they’ll call you back because they never actually call back I called 4 times within the time span of 3 hours and left a message each time and still didn’t get a call back and now they are closed so I’m only giving 2 stars because that is simply someone putting off calls till they close so they don’t have to deal with it. Pure laziness.

It's ridiculous how a gap in insurance with a company that will back-bill to cover any visits while not insured up to 90 days yet I'm told I either have to have cash in hand or oh well me and my baby don't matter unless money is involved... it's disgusting how EVERY single office in Gainesville says the same thing... you would think a person's health and their baby's health would be a priority over a $ sign....
