Had a procedure scheduled and when I showed up they didn't have my deductible correct which could have delayed me getting the treatment procedure I needed. After the diagnostic procedure I was told I was ineligible for the treatment procedure so I would get a refund on that deductible in approximately 3 weeks. After waiting 3 weeks and not receiving anything I called and was told it was never put in the queue to be refunded so they would have to do it and I would have to wait another 3 to 4 weeks for the refund. Be aware of shady billing practices at this office and check everything.

The charges here are astronomical. I went in for a simple procedure and the cost was absurd.
The reason it was absurd is that you are getting charged for just the room when you get their bill. During checkout (before the procedure) I had to pay. But, come to find out, I was only paying for the 'room', not any of the actual procedural stuff. And the 'room charge' came out to more than three grand. Makes me want to live with my problems instead of getting them fixed.

I went in for a procedure and was greeted by a super friendly staff. Kelli checked me in and it was very prompt. The office is very organized and efficient.
Then went to the procedure area and again, greeted by some very outgoing, positive nurses. Patty took great care of me and was even able to get my IV started on the first try (not an easy thing to do.)
Lance was very thorough at explaining the anesthesia process.
Dr. Molina was right on time and the procedure was done and over before I knew it. Rita took great care of me in recovery.
I do know that I will be going back in the near future for a different procedure. Glad that I can have it done at NFEC .

This place is terrific!!! Kelli was super sweet and patient checking me in (even though I was very hypoglycemic and in an weird, altered mental state), Vicki the anesthesia nurse acted like she had all the time in the world for me and was a complete angel (even though I requested not to have Versed), and Rita was very nice as I recovered. They are very busy, but also extremely competent and capable. I actually enjoyed my colonoscopy experience thanks to these lovely and very kind ladies! Thank you so much! You are the best of the best! Olivia 10/25/17

I had a disastrous experience with my latest colonoscopy, after fine and friendly experiences with Dr. Maico, who retired recently. I was given far too much anesthetic, propofol, and when it slowed my heart during the procedure--a common side effect, especially in older patients--I was given robinul to speed it back up, again at far too high a dosage. I did not see the attending physician after the procedure, and despite the heart involvement was hustled right out of there as soon as my eyes were open. I actually stumbled getting dressed! No gentle recovery for me.

In the car on the way home (only an hour from the scheduled start of my procedure!) I began to experience side effects from the robinul, about which I was given no warning at all. My mouth was so dry it was hard to speak. For hours I could not urinate, nor could I digest food. When I called in distress I was told by the nurse, who actually consulted the attending physician, that I was dehydrated. This was not possible; fluids had been administered intravenously during the procedure. I found out all the above information when the head nurse noticed an anomaly on my chart and called me the following day to tell me what had happened.

Why was I given such high dosages at the age of 77? Why was I rushed out of there with no recovery time? Why did no one--especially the young surgeon--check my chart before dismissing my concerns? And why has it been so hard to find anyone who will call or email me back after my repeated attempts to clarify this situation?

I finally did get a call from the chief anesthesiologist for this practice. He explained rudely that my heart did not slow, it STOPPED between beats, not due to the anesthetic but to the procedure itself, which can affect the vagus nerve. He grudgingly admitted that I should have been warned of the side effects of robinul, but defended all other procedures, including the rapid dismissal. No mention appears in my medical records, which I had to go in person to request, of the robinul and heart symptoms. But both the head nurse and the chief anesthesiologist told me the exact dosages of both medications and the reason they were administered.

This was my 4th colonoscopy, and by far the easiest. It is clear this organization has the process dialed in and very efficient. The nurses and doctors were very friendly and courteous and kept me totally informed the whole way. I was in and back out in 2.5 hours.

Don't call on a Friday for appointment, those rude people already have the weekend on their minds, and they will treat you like it. Was forced to give them one star, left up to me I would not give them any stars.

I had a screening endoscopy here recently. The staff I connected with -- Terri, Julia, Julie, Lori and Caron, along with Dr. Maico (Digestive Disease Associates) -- were friendly and caring and actually made it a pleasant experience.
