When the time I moved here from Daly City clinic I felt comfortable! It was the first
50 or 100 patients to enrolled here. First it was strange for me because I’m not use of the quietness of the environment unlike in my clinic before. It was really chaotic. Esp the scheduling of appointments & also the staff there! To make it short , I find this clinic satisfying for my needs. My Dr Htun is so concerned & very attending in my case. The Pharmacy is great no need to drive. The staff are courteous. If you make a call appointment or needs to refill your meds , it’s operator are very good! The only issue sometime is the parking space. Thank you.

BEWARE!!
This is the WORST facility to get medical care, because you will only get partial care. For one of the issues, and will be refused treatment for another. I came in with a bad flu, which was confirmed by test. I had bad cough and an eye infection. Well my PCP Dr. Escalla had refused to treat my eye infection, stating that once the flu passes, the eye will fix itself. She did perscribe cough meds. I called next day, since my eye was getting worse and still was told to wait unitl flu passes, and then if it's still bad, they will perscribe antibiotic eye drops. Next day the pain and nonstop tearing in my eye got so bad, I c! ouldn't keep it open for long. I called again and was told that I have to come in for another appointment! They are after charging your insurance multiple times! asking for perscribtion or phone appointment is useless, because they want to charge your insurance as many times as possible. I have never had a dr. refuse to treat an eye infection! I will be looking for another health provider as soon as I get well.
I am flaberghasted at such lack of health care!

There is always a queue. Why make appointments for so many people if you can't serve them in time?
Additionally, if the previous patient is late, you can call the next one and warn that the time will change and they can arrive 15/20 minutes later... But you have to think about people, customers....

I came to this place all of once, years ago, during the pandemic shut down. I had blood taken and realized too late the lady wasn't wearing gloves.... needless to say I never went back.
Not that it's any of their buisness, but I'm registered with another facility. Not theirs. Specifically, i was immediately removed from their care when I pleaded with insurance and reported their gross practice.
This outfit repeatedly calls me to argue with me about how I'm still registered with them. I've said it nicely, I've said it rudely - "Stop calling my phone," but they keep calling to argue. I do not argue 🙄.
I've blocked this clinic's main line from my phone. If I get more annoying calls, I'll update boots ridiculous this place is. Maybe they'll see this review and bug off...

Appointment with dentist, new location of Nems in Daly City. He didn't treat me right at all because I came in for emergency but not what he expected. He said:" I can NOT control the drilling teeth fast or slow.... as a dentist, he said he can't control the drilling of the teeth? Darn, that freaks me out. He was so angry with his words to make me give up. I went with different dentist after changing my appointment. Shoot.

I am with Dr. Chen, with whom I had a nice experience. However, their billing system is very weird and strange, and arrogant.

In 2019 Dr. Chen ordered an annual physical examination. I received a bill, $13.65, for the lab test (the lab was performed in their clinic). BTW, one charged item was:"ROUTINE VENIPUNCTURE". Won't every blood draw need venipuncture?
I messaged my health company; some words in their reply:
"COLLECTION OF VENOUS BLOOD BY VENIPUNCTURE ** EXCEPTION was billed with Diagnostic diagnosis code -Z1321 Encounter for screening for nutritional disorder
The provider will need to bill a corrected claim with preventive diagnosis code for anthem to be able to reprocess that item as preventive."
I called NEMS multiple times across several years with no results. They gave me many reasons that the bill was correct. One time one lady said they would not correct the bill and I could sue them.

In 2023, I called again, and one person received my call; he suggested that I talk with his supervisor. I said thank you to tell me this option; in the past, they never mentioned the option to me; but I was too exhausted with those calls and arguments; I decided to move on to small claims court.
A few days later the guy called me back, saying he talked with his supervisor and apologized that they made a mistake and they corrected the bill so there is zero charge for the annual physical examination in 2019.
I expressed my appreciation to him.

So the first billing assistant did not do anything to help solve the issue. It took me a lot of time. This means the billing system was corrupted. The customer's experience highly depended on individual employees. (BTW, the billing of 2018 for my annual physical examination was wrong too. they charged me about $10. I called multiple times and my then health insurance helped me resolve it and I finally was free charge of a regular physical examination.)

In total I spent many hours on this billing issue with NEMS. I appreciated my patience, persistence.
I appreciated the last person at NEMS billing department who received my call: he helped solve the issue.
It did not go to the small claims court, which is a saving to the social resource.
Just my time was wasted with the stupid billing process, without any compensation.

Awful! Its my PCP and i didn't get medical care when needed them. First time I had to change doctor at 35 weeks of pregnancy. They rejected me.
Second time i called 4 weeks in advance for postpartum visit. They scheduled phone registration at 8:45 and appointment at 14:40.
I got call at 8:55 and went for appointment thinking that everything is fine, where they said I "didn't pick up the phone" so they didn't register me! And offered to come in 3 weeks.
Do not recommend their services!

They do not understand the meaning of appointment. You will still be waiting at least 45 minutes after your appointment time. I have had vaccines done on time at every other facility like CCHP, CMPC, Mills and Rite Aid. You will wait at least hour for a vaccine APPOINTMENT. This is why I asked if I can take it at Rite Aid instead. The request was denied but I should’ve just done it anyway. A vaccine takes 30 seconds to administer.
