This has been my primary care provider location ever since I moved to the neighborhood and got medical coverage. NEMS has several of the buildings on this block of Noriega. Personally I have visited the clinic, pharmacy, and member services. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. I really appreciate the personal care my doctor provides even if it is just mostly for my annual checkup. When the occasional illness occurs you can be sure your needs will be addressed and met.

Got here for my 1 PM appointment, everyone was gone, after 5 minutes trying to communicate with the guard who doesn’t speak ANY English, I figured out everyone is still gone for lunch. Had to guess where to go. Guess if I went to the right area, which doesn’t even have a reception desk, and guess if I’m in the right place. After waiting 15 minutes I went back to the front desk to see if the receptionist was back to all an ETA and they told me I needed to go to another building. I wasted 20 mins because they had no one who I could talk to! The service here is terrible, confusing, and frustrating.

Extremely horrible services, rude doctors and nurses. Always delay your appointment without letting you know. In-person appointments are usually delayed 30’-1h. Phone call appt delay 1–2 days. If your obstetrician is Rena Hu, run! She’s extremely rude and impatient, sometimes will raise her voice at you. Also, when the nurse checks my temperature (in the ear), she does it very roughly that hurts my ear a lot!

This place has a sprinkle of nice people at the front desk and pharmacy, but most of practitioners (women) are mean, aggressive, rude, judgemental and gossips about paitients as you're in the room waiting for treatment. The chinatown acupuncture office is the worst group of mean girls. Please don't go there. They will judge you, criticize you, make fun of and inflict negativity towards you bc they feel superior. It's sad that people you'd think care about patients, are the same one's you should report for malpractice.

Recently switched insurance and was assigned NEMS as my primary care clinic. Friendly and professional staff. Quick and convenient appointments. Open after hours 1-9pm. Buildings are clean and appear new. During my first visit, I was prescribed a medication and obtained it that same day from their pharmacy within minutes. I also obtained a dermatology referral that same visit and saw the dermatologist within a week! (Quicker than my dermatology referral from UCSF). Great services and very satisfied!!

I have since returned and obtained referrals for ophthalmology and orthopedics. Appointments received within 1-2 weeks of referral.

I also need to obtain blood draws every month while on medication. I am able to to do so with ease, usually in and out within 15-20 minutes (in the morning).

I wish I could give this place 0 stars I have never cared enough to leave a rating but this place is unprofessional, I came into the office on July 6th I was told to call them to schedule my next appointment as well as schedule my physical therapy! After calling day of I left a voicemail for a call back it is now the 19th and I still have received absolutely nothing from them! I had to drive 2 hours to the office just to talk to them and them tell me they don’t know blah blah and I’ve called at least 15 times. This is not okay and I will never be returning here ever AGAIN! Lastly my doctor was Allan Jian he got my results the same day signed off on them and still never called me back about my results the most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever been to in my life!
