They are sweet and truly caring about your pet. They handle them with gentle hands even if you have a sassy pet like our Salem. Hes a grumpy old man with bad teeth and when he hissed and growled they just kept telling him they were sorry, that they know he hurts and they just want to help. Eventually my Salem warmed up to them and they treated him to a churu after his exam. He LOVED that!! He had a dental done with 6 extractions and is starting to feel a little better but he has to go back for 7 more extractions. Poor guy. Prices are a bit steep but not any different than any other vet office. At least hear you know they will take care of your baby's. The pictures are from right after his dental. And yes he sleeps with his eyes open. Lol

New Smyrna Beach Animal Medical Center was wonderful. They were able to fit me in earlier in the day even though my cat is not a regular patient there because I was worried since he hadn't eaten in a few days and our regular vet was booked. They were friendly and super thorough, both in their workup and explanations. They also got his records from our regular vet and didn't repeat tests they had already done. The prices were also reasonable, especially since they were fitting me in. If they were a little closer to my home I would switch to them permanently but I absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Our sweet boy Sheppy tore his dew claw and was in discomfort. We were not clients of the practice but they got him in right away. The staff was so great and Dr. Reno was fantastic! We went there to treat the dew claw but also received a full examination and discussed Sheppys seizure protocol. Dr. Reno spent a lot of time with us and explained more than any Doctor has about his seizures. (Including the Specialty Vet at UF). We really appreciate the care and information we received and will definitely be bringing our 3 furbabies here going forward! Thank you NSB Animal Medical Center!

The staff are caring and helpful. The Vet on the other hand seems to think it's okay to ASSUME. Maybe the Vet wants to be an ass but you're not going to get me to also participate in that!
I've had two dogs now over the past month seen there. I asked today for Heartworm medication for the 2 animals that they have examined. They wanted to charge me additional $7 to the $75 for the exam for the prescription. To make matters even worse instead of listening to me and giving me a prescription for the (2) two dogs that have been seen in their facility this year he prescribes something cost three times as much, not at all what I asked for and for only one of the two dogs that they have seen! 🥹
Like I said first part of when you assume is what applies here to this Vet. If they don't start listening I'm going to have to switch to a new vet 😭

Moved my pets here from somewhere else, mainly because my former vet couldn't possibly fit me in on a relatively urgent situation. Nsb has accommodated me numerous times for same day visits. Never had a bad experience there, would def recommend to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

Very good experience, helped my dog tremendously with horrible cracked open wounds on her paws from chewing. I love the pet desk app super helpful for busy people. I would like to see a multi dog discounts for my 3 dogs will be patients for a long time. I like everything is record kept and on file really helpful. Very clean facility as well which is very important to me and pet health .

Had my Shitzu Spaded here. It was successful and my dog recovered well!
I would prefer for the Vet to examine my dog in the small room where we are ushered in, and not take her inside to do the exam!
