I have been a long time client at Nelson Veterinary Services and have always been treated with respect and compassion for my animals by the staff. When my dog had to be put down, I was given the facts and left to make my decision. As much as those girls love animals, they are heartbroken with every loss. It's the most difficult part of their job.I cannot imagine anyone talking me into putting my dog down!That was my decision. I love Karrington and Teresa! They have always gone above and beyond for us!

On Friday December 20th. I took my dog Mia to be seen because she had lock jaw.
She was fighting a respiratory infection.
The girls at Nelson's were very persistent telling me to put Mia down.
Especially Carrington.
Carrington told me that there was a doctor on duty. The doctor didn't even bother to come outside and look at my dog.
This was an emergency.
I was crying because I was in shock of what happened to my dog.
I feel in my heart that my dog could have been saved.
If that doctor would have come out and brought her in maybe she would be alive right now.
I later found out that by another vet that they could have brought her in and started IV fluids on her to help clear her respiratory infection and maybe get rid of the lock jaw.
I felt like Carrington and the other girls were just pushing me to euthanize my dog.
They told me that she probably was in a lot of pain because she had lock jaw .
I know my dog is now gone but I want everyone in Chester to know the sad situation I went through.
Please don't take your pets there.
Dr Nelson was very caring.
Now that he's gone, the staff there doesn't show the same caring he did.
I regret having taken her there.
I know if I ever get another dog.
I will never take my pet there again.
Merry Christmas to you all.

Our companion Milo was in alot of pain and we were really not sure of a place to use for this.
Milo of over 16 yrs had to be put to sleep. Not only did they help us. Mr. Nelson seems really to care for our companion and was a little choked up to.
We have taken our other2 dogs there and been really treated decent. Our companions too
Much as it was a hard time to let Milo go. They made him comfortable and truly gave us piece of mind that we were doing the proper care for our old dog.
Thank you Dr. Nelson for your care and your kindness in our time of need. Hard as it was. You made it easier for us knowing he is no longer suffering.
We have many more animals for you to care for and will be using you for all there care. Thank you for your service!!!

I would like to personally thank Dr. Nelson and his Amazing staff for their compassion and excellent care of my new 14 week old puppy. I’m from Chico California and a part time resident at Fox wood County Club. I woke up to Salem not feeling well and immediately called my regular vet located in Chico to schedule an emergency visit. Sadly, to say they were completely booked and had no openings until the following week. I proceeded to call numerous other vets in Chico, California, to no avail. I called Dr. Nelson ‘s office and explained my situation and they were more than happy to squeeze me in between all of their appointments for that afternoon to make sure Salem was seen and properly diagnosed. I’m seriously considering switching vets and making the hour and a half drive based off of Dr. Nelson‘s bedside manner and true concern for my pet and the excellent service I received from his wonderful staff. I highly recommend Dr. Nelson‘s office for anyone’s pet needs.

This Vet Charged Alot More Money Then They Quoted Over The Phone , I Had To Travel Over 2 hours To Get There, Then I Had My Female Dog Fixed & Even With Our County Volcher They Still Charged An Additional $150 on Top
