I had an exceptional experience with the maternity team at South Nassau, and I can’t recommend them enough! I was skeptical at first, but had a good experience for my prenatal care and the educational team. Being that it was so close to hope I decided to deliver here…….From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable, supported, and well-cared-for. The nurses were incredibly attentive, always checking in to ensure I was comfortable and informed throughout my entire stay. The doctors were knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions.

The labor and delivery team was professional yet warm, and their expertise made me feel confident and at ease. The delivery and postpartum care was equally outstanding, with staff continuously offering guidance and support as I adjusted to life with my newborn.

I truly felt like I was in great hands, and the level of care I received was top-notch. Thank you to the entire maternity team at South Nassau for making this such a positive experience for me and my baby!

When my husband was there he was given a broken bariatric bed. He couldn’t move or get out of it without help. The nurses didn’t like to have to help him and he spent days in pain. Because he was in bed so long, he ended up with a bad cough and congestion. I notified the doctor That I was worried that he was getting pneumonia cause I could hear the congestion. After much arm, twisting, she agreed to do a chest x-ray, but said it was not an emergency and schedule it for the morning that night my husband couldn’t breathe and they did the chest x-ray and he had fluid on his lungs. I eventually got them to get him a cardiac chair so this way, he didn’t have to spend all the time in bed, but guess what the chair was broken too, and had to be Propped up on two other chairs to keep his legs elevated. It was a nightmare and my husband went to a rehab to get his strength and mobility back because of the lack of care he received. The cardiology department and vascular surgery department are not very good. Got a second opinion and is now being treated at a much better hospital with much better doctors. And there was a brand new cardiac chair in his room and he was a very first patient use it.

Horrible ER visit. Triage nurses were great. ER nurse dismissive and rough. Visibly annoyed with me expressing her wrongly placed IV was causing pain. Told me to "give her a minute" when I asked her to take it out. She left me waiting an additional 20 minutes. Claimed she was documenting, I watched her walk around have conversations and intentionally not respect my request. After I said I would remove it myself, she rolled her eyes, huffed and roughly removed it. The ER staff was dismissive and too wrapped up in their own conversations. I left. I now have a hurting arm, 9 hours later. I also have a knot under my skin and bruise where the IV was placed. No resolve to my issue.

Amazing!! Thanks for taking care of me and my baby, since day one everyone was so amazing up there in D3W, making my experience of first time Mom incredible good.

The Operating Room (Angels) also motivation and making feel better a scare and first time mommy

My heart felt comfortable with all those beautiful nurses helping me and motivating me saying that I was “ doing amazing”
Thank God and thanks to the amount Sinai South Nassau, now I can carry a handsome and healthy baby in my arms. They reacted right around good timings and when it was needed. Thanks to their hard work and dedication my baby could made it to earth save and healthy.
My epidural lady also did soo amazing, explaining the entire process to a scary mom that didn’t wanted an epidural, she has angelic hands, did not felt pain during the process.

Thanks to Dr.Behard my attending Dr. for taking actions at last time minute to provide the best care for my Boy.

Thank You my friends for making this first time experience less traumatic and something more memorable.

Avoid it like it's Wuhan Labs; while the Doctors, Nurses and Staff are aces, if your ailment doesn't kill you, their antiquated billing system will get you... Every time you enter, a new account is generated for you. If you call billing and inquire, the Acct dept has to go through each and every Account in your name, manually take notes and then add them up to tell you your balance. One ER visit no problem.. frequent infusion patient, say twice a month for a year, then you have 24 accounts yr end and the Acct dept would need to open each individually to check balances..etc etc.. no centralized system.. Def not worth your time.. Go anywhere else..

5 stars for Labor and Delivery team and my nurse Ruth who helped me during labor with her wonderful care and huge experience. Had a successful VBAC thanks to her and other doctors and nurses who encouraged me made the right decisions when it was the hardest.

We have experienced nothing but professionalism and nurses that care. We took my son here today and everyone acted fast and were efficient, especially our RN William "Will". He was on point with everything and kept us informed at all times, once discharged he even had a school excuse letter ready for us. A+

My daughter is in the ER and it is DISGUSTING! Environmental is not cleaning in between patients and it shows! The rails on the stretcher were just as nasty as the floor! The bathroom isn’t any better there appears to be blood on the floor and environmental has yet to come clean it up! Of course we waited over 6 hours to see a provider and we were ok with that until we saw the filth! The nurse was providing medication out of her ungloved hands! No medicine cup, nothing! Why perpetuate the germs people are already trying to avoid while in the hospital. Do better!
