I enjoyed 6 weeks of physical therapy in January and February 2025. It was a great experience. Tina greets you and make you feel welcome; Janet puts you on a warmup machine; and then Rick Minnear made me stretch and work hard. I saw a big improvement in my condition.

Having physical therapy after previous surgeries and not really sticking with it, I was really apprehensive about even trying it again. I had a foot surgery that my doctor highly suggested to try Mt Dora Physical Therapy. I was very reluctant but I did. David, my Therapist, wasn't like previous ones where they give you a list of exercises to do and leave you all to yourself....not knowing whether you're doing them correctly or not. The whole staff worked in this manner, one-on-one. That's what brought me back after having rotator cuff surgery. David worked continuously, taking his time, finding that I was going to need more time than normal to recover. After 5 months of many ups and downs, David provided so much care and has enabled me to confidently do an exercise regiment on my own at home.

David and his team, treat you as if you were part of their family. They make you feel so comfortable while making you push the boundaries in your situation.

I would totally recommend their services. Class act!!!

My doctor referred me, Mt Dora PT set up my appointment and provided the necessary paperwork to fill out at home at my convenience. The staff was respectful, friendly and professional. I was suffering with vertigo, a condition that I have had intermittently for most of my life. My therapist diagnosed my problem, treated me and took the time to explain my condition and how I could better take care of any possible reoccurrence. From being greeted by Tina to my first intake appointment with David (owner) to many months of physical therapy with Taylor for my shoulder I can’t say enough good things about Mount Dora Physical Therapy. I am back working out and my life has gotten back to normal thanks to their care. Taylor handled my shoulder therapy with white gloves the whole time. I just finished 4 weeks of sessions with the team here. I met with David on my first visit and Xenia on the next 7 sessions. I never thought I would be slightly sad about not having to go to PT anymore! Everyone was very knowledgeable and informative, while still maintaining excellent "bedside manner". There appears to be a very relaxed and friendly teamwork environment with the entire staff. Reception greeted me by name by my second visit. They are consistently on track with their scheduling. I never spent more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, even if I was ten minutes early. They were even understanding of me having to bring 2 (well-behaved) children with me.
What really matters though, is how comfortable I am moving forward with my exercises on my own. While attending sessions there I was taught many stretches and exercises pertaining to my specific problems. I was informed of what I should and shouldn't do, both at home and at the gym. Xenia also helped me understand how to judge for myself when I'm ready to start pushing myself a little harder, when to rein it in, and how to care for myself if I ever push too hard.

First off let me just say Tammy was a great therapist, five star all the way . I’m rating Mt. Dora Physical Therapy as three stars because of several issues I’ve had with the business. There were some problems in the beginning with them billing my insurance incorrectly and they didn’t want to take responsibility for the mistake. They wanted to charge me the different when all it was, was a quick phone call to the insurance to fix the problem. During this time they threatened that I wouldn’t be welcomed back if I didn’t pay the full difference, this came out of the blue as I didn’t even know there was a problem. Recently I was in the hospital emergency room an was unable to call that day to reschedule my appointment. I called the very next day Letting them know of my emergency situation and being hospitalized. They still marked me down as a no-show and had no empathy or understanding that I was unable to call The actual day of my appointment due to being in the emergency room. On a separate issue I called Saturday left a voice message that I would not be able to make my Monday appointment due to an unexpected family situation out of town. They marked me Monday as a no-show again saying they Didn’t get my Saturday message. (Of course I have phone records to prove I called. ) when I called to confirm my next appointment, I was told me I could not reschedule any more appointments with them due to these two “no-shows”.
When I explained they were not no shows and requested to speak with David the owner, The receptionist assured me she would have him give me a call back. It has been sometime now since I requested to speak with David and I have not heard from David. I Feel that there is arrogance and may need improvement on this end
