If there was a ZERO star I would give it to this place. Please do not get services for your love ones from this place. When you call they have a weird answering message and when they don't answer they give you like 2 other numbers for you to call. You barely understand what they are trying to say, and they don't give you appt.s they always give you an estimated arrival time. The company never contacted us for visits we had to be the ones calling them to arrange our parent services. We had to cancel our parent services because Modern Health Care was not providing the proper care for our parent. I've never any negative review in my life but, in this case please save yourself major headaches and do not contract this company.

The physical therapist from this company was horrible. As soon as he came in the door it felt like he wanted to leave. He spoke very fast, didn't listen well, did a poor intake and never communicated well on when he was coming again. His company only approved 3 visits and then wanted further orders from the doctor when insurance covers 6 visits. My complicated hip reconstruction surgery definitely warranted 6 visits.

Jonathan is an excellent physical therapist that I highly recommend. My mom was paralyzed on her left side from a stroke, with back pain and couldn't turn her head or move her left leg. Now she can move her leg, turn her head and the back pain is gone, thanks to the exercises she does with Jonathan. He's also taught me exercises to do with her to keep her core strong. He keeps up with the latest advances in his field and gives me great recommendations on how to properly care for her. He goes over and beyond for my mom she really loves him, especially the massages at the end of every session. He is and will always be a part of our family.

Waiting for a week for Modern staffer to send physical therapist to house. Called; no one knows why there is no one handling this case! Very noisy, impossible to have an adult discussion with the co-workers shouting in the background.

If zero were possible they have earned it!!! No follow through for an assessment or visits for over a week after coming home from hospital!! Non English speaking contact was hard to understand and sent no one to see me! I finally had to call my surgeons office to complain!! They are the WORST! Do not trust them with your health or recovery! I am reporting them to the BBB!

The so called nurse who was sent to my home to provide information and demonstrate how to service a PICC line was a joke. He wore a mask inside my house where no one has or was sick. Coupled with his accent he was hard to understand.

Not only were his instructions to change the antibiotic incomplete he skipped a step. The month long process was wrought with inconsistencies and sometimes he would fulfill his promise on a follow-up and sometimes not.

It appeared each of the times said nurse came, he was in a tremendous hurry. It is obvious the Home Care Nurses, if one can call them such, work from home and when they are done, they are free to goof off.

We were referred to Modern Home Health Care Inc. when my older developmentally disabled and physically disabled brother was discharged post-hospitalization and post SNF. The BEST REFERRAL WE HAVE EVER HAD FOR HIM. He has been in many in-patient rehabs and he has had so many hospitalizations after his COVID-double Pneumonia ICU on ventilator for 3 weeks hospitalization. He had three strokes, a heart attack, developed chronic pancreatitis and was not able to even feed himself. Modern Home Health Care (MHHC) sent over Edward Lin and then Jonathan Manlapaz to do my brother home health physical therapy. AMAZING! I am a healthcare regulatory, bioetchis and neuroethics attorney and I have never seen such great care, understanding, empathy, skill, experience and development of a treatment plan that exactly works for my brother. Jonathan Manlapaz took over for Edward (who is also extremely skilled) and Jonathan developed such a rapport with my brother. My brother also is on the autism spectrum so understanding him, talking to him, even touching him is difficult. Jonathan is easy to talk to, kind, adjusted the routine when he saw that my brother was tired or just wasn't understanding the types of exercise. Jonathan was on time, always communicated with me about scheduling way in advance so that I could arrange my law practice (my brother lives with me and we take care of him). Jonathan never made excuses why something couldn't be done. He just thought about my brother and found a new way to do the Physical Therapy. He made simple inexpensive suggestions for my brother in getting things that would make his life easier. Jonathan also communicated well with his superiors and fellow co-workers. He was always smiling and never tried to cut the time short with my brother. He didn't get frustrated. He spoke to my brother like an equal. With dignity. My brother was so happy and so excited for the day after his visits with Jonathan M. We have hope that my brother will do well, and he has done much better since getting care from MHHC, Edward and especially Jonathan. Edward Lin is also extremely understanding and kind and a true therapist. It seems that Jonathan and Edward -- kind people who care and are real healers gravitate to one another to spread their experience, talent and understanding to their patients. My brother was in Sharp Acute Rehab for 6 weeks after his 3 week ICU stay. These two gentlemen, Edward and Jonathan on par and more with the best acute rehab in San Diego. I am dreading the time when Jonathan has to rotate out of the weeks of PT for my brother. Edward also rotated out. But anyone who has Jonathan (and Edward) are extremely lucky. Ethical, understanding, experienced, empathetic, passion for their work, they care that the patient gets better and stays better, they listen -- they work together with the family and the patient. My brother and we, as his family and caregivers, are extremely lucky to have had Jonathan Manlapaz (and Edward Lin) as his Physical Therapists. Jonathan really formed a great working and friendly bond with my brother so that the PT was focused, fruitful, and tailored to my brother's many developmental and physical issues. It takes a unique individual to understand, have patience, listen with more than their ears, and try to communicate with a developmentally disabled individual who is almost deaf and is blind in one eye. Jonathan accomplished the impossible with my brother. My many thanks and wishes of true appreciation and blessing on Jonathan for giving a darn, for going that extra mile, for this professional and personal ethics, for his empathy and problem-solving pleasant attitude that healed not just by brother, but us, as a family. There is hope. Thanks Jonathan. Thanks Edward.

Do Not Use the Company! They are a farse. Multiple calls to FINALLY get on a schedule. Time comes, NADA. Called PT direct (1/2 hour after appt was due) direct to VM. I have already informed Scripps Medical to have them flagged in their system as a highly suspect vender.
