I recently moved away and therefore logged in to get my health records. Once downloaded, I decided to take a little gander at the notes from my visits. There are so many things notated in there that were supposedly discussed, like "lifestyle changes", "diet changes" etc. None of these things happened. Supposedly supplements were suggested for some chronic pain issues I was trying to get help with, except they never were recommended. On top of the inaccurate notations, this clinic still uses BMI's as a medical calculation for health. Am I overweight? Yes, I know this. However, even at a lower weight my BMI still said I was obese when I was very much not. BMI does not take into consideration your muscle mass, your bone density, etc. It's very unfortunate to see this type of assessment still being used. As I said before, there were multiple notes within my records that were never discussed. There were recommendations for a pap smear every three years. I had a hysterectomy in 2015. I saw this provider from 2022 to 2024. The healthcare provider is not there for you, they are there for the numbers. Unfortunately, I very much feel like I was another number for them. None of my visits were welcoming and I always left feeling like I wasted my time, but they sure wanted to see me every 90 days and have bloodwork panels done every time I went in. $$.
