Mamacita Midwifery was an absolute joy to work with throughout my first pregnancy! Mishell, Lisa, & Caitlin operated as a wonderful team to provide us with comprehensive care and i couldn’t be more grateful for the outcomes of our birth 🙂 They made me feel safe and comfortable - always reassuring me amidst any various concerns. They always supported my decisions and guided me in the right directions along the way! Offering me information if i was unsure - and teaching us about holistic options for preventative measures! I loved their way of thinking and their nonchalant approach to birth! Our appointments were no stress and it was so refreshing to be surrounded by love and care - hour long appointments with skilled and experienced women who know birth very well! I highly recommend them if you’re looking for women to walk with you, pray with you, guide you, and support you through a low intervention physiological birth! They offer a unique perspective of somewhat “medically minded” and experienced, but also trusting and confident with a no fuss, ‘don’t mess with nature’ home birth!! They were so patient with me & gracious throughout my 2 day labor - we couldn’t have done it without their emotional & physical support. my husband and i feel like they are a part of our family after welcoming our little girl into the world. They provided everything we could have asked for and more!!! we will no doubt be using them again if we ever have another baby and will recommend them to anyone who is willing and open to the beautiful experience of home birth <3

It was such a joy to have Mishell, Lisa and Caitlins' support throughout my pregnancy. This was my second pregnancy with Mishell and Lisa but it was my first home birth. With their guidance, I felt very prepared for this home birth. The labor was intense but they were so on top of making sure baby was safe and helping me with different birthing positions when I asked for ideas.

I appreciate that they gave me space to focus on breathing while I labored, but also chimed in with words of encouragement when things got intense.

I also love that my husband was able to be a part of the whole experience and that they made him feel included and guided him in catching the baby.

Overall, it was such a joyful experience. Although labor was intense, the atmosphere was so calm, collected, warm and inviting for my baby to enter into the world. Oh and my toddler absolutely loves these midwives and constantly asks if we can see them again (the next time I get pregnant!).

I had Mishell as my midwife for my second birth, which was my first homebirth, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Mishell is highly experienced and truly passionate about what she does. She made me feel confident and informed throughout the entire process. My husband and 4-year-old also loved their interactions with her. She always answered and made space for every question that we had. During the birth, Mishell was calming, and compassionate. Caitlin was intuitive and peaceful, and Holly was nurturing. We had a few appointments with Lisa too and she was such a joy! I felt completely supported and trusted Mishell and her team with every decision. I was so blessed and thankful to have Mishell as my midwife as well as Lisa and Caitlin. I had the most wonderful experience. These ladies are caring and compassionate. I got excellent care from beginning to end and learned so much as Mishell is knowledgeable and keeps you well informed with each visit you receive. On the day of my birth I felt Mishell, Lisa, and Caitlin brought such peace and calm. I knew they were going to take good care of me and baby. I am forever grateful for the beautiful experience Mish and her team provided for my family and me. My first son's birth was in the hospital and it was a negative experience for us and we wanted to try something different. We were a little nervous at first to consider a home birth but that nervousness melted quickly because of Mishell's widsom, confidence, and presence. From our first phone call, which Mish took while riding a horse (huge green flag), Mish made me feel confident, listened to, and safe. Every moment in her care was a stark contrast to my first pregnancy and birth experience -- Mish and her team were warm, unhurried, gentle, empowering, personal, kind, empathetic, and honest wheres my experience with my OB was always rushed, canned, impersonal, and even painful. My toddler was welcomed as a participant in all of our appointments and looked forward to visiting "the baby doctors". I had some concern with my high blood pressure that she took seriously and her suggestions made a measurable impact in lowering my BP which ultimately allowed me to give birth at home. By the time I was ready to go into labor, I felt confident, prepared, and excited. The birth itself was magical in every moment -- even the hard moments. Mish and her team were intuitive and somehow knew exactly what I needed (or if I needed to be left alone) at every turn. They empowered my husband to be hands on and to have a beautiful experience too, he even caught our baby and that was so special. I felt so at ease, safe, and comfortable to be myself and do what I needed to do the whole time. I learned so much about myself and my power. This birth was a gift to me that I will never forget. Afterwards, their care for my family and me remains. We have 3 postpartum visits and each are unhurried and personal. I am so thankful and can't imagine my life without this beautiful experience. I really wish everyone could experience this pure joy, pride, and peace that I feel right now.

Mishell and her team are the most amazing, supportive, knowledgeable, kind, and empowering group of women! I am so beyond blessed to have had Mishell deliver 2 of my babies. She has made both my experiences exceptional and powerful and I cannot imagine doing birth without her. There is no fear when it comes to having this team of ladies behind you, they have you and your baby in the best of hands. There is no doubt she is one of the best midwives out there.
