MHCAN is an amazing organization that truly helps the mental health and homeless community. MHCAN provides so many services, and is a great fit for those who may be needing friendship, structure with groups, or a place to get out of the elements.

MHCAN is clean, spacious and has a welcoming atmoshpere. People of all ages and from all walks of life come. Veterans, families, singles, the housed and the homeless all find suppoort and services here.
People try to meet your needs and find help for you. There are food pantries 5 days a week, art, music and support groups. I like the music class with piano and singing, the women's group and self-healing classes. I was able to see a world famous healer there, free, and he gave me herbs that dramatically lowered my blood pressure and help me sleep better. The director, Sarah Leonard is one of the kindest, supportive people I have ever met. I encourage anyone with a history of mental health problems or who is sucidal to come to MHCAN and get help.

I was mistreated by a Peer Counselor I had become friends with. She suddenly banned me from her Groups and wouldn't talk to me. I didn't do anything wrong. I used to work there as a Recovery Specialist. I have been in Recovery for 20 years. I felt traumatized for months. The Program Director Sarah ignored my concerns. She gave me no opportunity to discuss what happened.
