My elderly grandmother has covid with severe symptoms and has been in the lobby for 8 hours now, following a few hours at the urgent care this morning. Even though the ER and urgent care are connected, they won’t share my grandmother’s lab results nor will they give her covid medication. She has been in 10+ pain and unable to move on her own, but they took the wheelchair they lent her when they saw her trying to stand. She is dehydrated and unable to drink or eat due to horrendous nausea. It appears that she is seen as just another covid patient instead of an elderly person with severe symptoms. It’s appalling how horribly she is being treated. And this whole time, they’re keeping her with everyone else in the lobby and exposing them to covid for hours on end.

Update: My grandmother waited for 11 hours with severe covid symptoms to get a bed. They only kept her there for less than an hour after seeing a doctor. After seeing the other negative reviews, I’m beginning to believe that patient well-being is not as high a priority as I would hope at a hospital.

I delivered my first baby here without knowing what to fully expect. The labor and delivery felt very complicated and the staff did not make it any easier for me. The nurses were impatient with my needs, and I feel like the doctor bullied me into having a c-section after only pushing with me for about ten minutes after three days of laboring. Would not deliver a baby here again unfortunately.

My mother recently had gallbladder surgery, and I can't praise the nurses enough. They are truly compassionate, patient, and kind. I especially want to highlight post-op nurse Angela, along with nurses Heidi and Kassy; they provided exceptional care for my mom

Quick to want to delete reviews, worked here before -Staff doesn't care, I've seen what happens behind the scenes.
Mother worked here for 20 years and they would ignore her when she called out in pain.

I called a few times. Goes straight to VM. At this point I don't even need to bother anymore. We all get our karma in due time.

My friend Natalia was suffering from dehydration and extreme fatigue from her job when she came home a few months ago. I called 911 for assistance and she was transferred to Memorial Hospital. Her stay was short and she recovered fairly fast all because of the well-trained staff and doctors there. I have had previous issues and was taken there for treatment. I have nothing but high praise for this Hospital and it well-trained staff. I give it 4 Stars in my book.

One of my children got into an accident on Friday and was admitted to the trauma unit. Then to the ICU for a few days, after she moved to orthopedics. The nurses doctors and staff were very kind and caring in all departments. In a hospital, the setting is very stressful for everyone involved. Yes, you have to wait hours for your results to come back and even hours sometimes in the waiting room. Now, I don't like waiting that long, but it is a must if you are in a hospital. Even if the nurse or doctors or staff got sick it's a wait for them as well.
I had a good experience with my previous procedures as well. We all must have patience everything in life there is a waiting period.

This place is just a disappointment my son came in because he's been coughing and ear ache for 2 weeks and he has asthma they where rude and they told he was fine he had nothing but gave him prescription 4 pils to take and on the paper it say he has pneumonia. Now my husband come in he is a dairy worker and their is a cow sickness going around his eyes started swelling they are pinkish & he has pain and itching. They did eye exam to read letters they said could be allergies he is fine. Lasting in waiting 8 hours. They are a joke never again they don't take ppls sickness serious next time I'm going to Doctors Medical Center. Memorial is just not that number 1 emergency place that it used to be.

The doctors were nice and attentive, even the billing lady was patient enough to answer my questions. But the nurse were careless and no empathy to his patients. I understand being a nurse it’s a stressful and challenging job but if you burnt out then take a break from your job or even change the field if you have no passion on helping others. Everyone would get sick and I hope these careless nurses will get a proper treatment when one day they are a patient themselves. Good luck!
