I am updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars because i received a call from the nurse at MedOne who treated me on the day i went in with a UTI. She explained why they send the samples for culture and also said they give patients a card that they can use if they get billed for the lab test. I did not receive that card or information but really appreciate the concern the nurse had for my bill and my negative experience.
My original review was very negative because ir hit my wallet and i felt it was sneaky. I am still shocked how expensive healthcare is for fairly simple human problems that have existing treatments . Iif you do go to MedOne for a UTI, be sure to pay attention when they say they are sending your sample for a culture and ask what it will cost.
Originally i wrote this review: I hope this negative review helps save someone else. I went in for a UTI the day after Christmas last year. I just got billed for $157 for my portion of the insurance for the pathology. HELLO I peed in a cup. a MONKEY can do the lab work for a simple UTI. After hours on the phone with my insurance company to try to figure out what I was being charged for, I remember the VERY NICE, FRIENDLY staff at MedONE telling me as I left the clinic that they would let me know if the strain of UTI that I had would be treated by the antibiotic they prescribed. I said, sure, thanks...whatever. It's a UTI. Easiest infection on the planet to treat. I wish you could just buy it OTC. First I thought WOW, what if I could barely pay my bills and just got hammered for this? Then I realized...They see the Insurance card and think "CaCHING"!!!!! We can submit all sorts of stuff for this. I appreciate friendly staff but when they are really rip-off artists with smiles on their faces, I dont appreciate it as much. What will I do next time? I wont go to MedONe, no matter how friendly or convenient they are. I may even try to pay for the visit out of pocket so the docs don't see my insurance card and think 'payday'. I'm disappointed. I didn't come in with a recurring, hard to treat uti that I couldnt get rid of. They took full advantage. On top of it, they used a lab that billed through Mississippi instead of Florida, just to make it harder for me to dig through the insurance claim. I realize this review is full of useless opinion and hyperbole but it made me feel better. not worth the $157 lab bill I have to pay, on top of the $30 copay I already paid, but a little better. Oh, yeah, and if you pay the LOR Dagnostics bil with the qr code that they kindly provide and say ‘scan qr code to pay online’ they add 5 bucks processing fee- with NO wARNING! Nice touch (not)

I went for UTI. They took urine told to call for results in a few days, I called, 2 weeks later still no results so girl on phone says we may not have even sent it cause we were so busy, what!? So I was told to comeback and just drop of a urine and would be no cost to me since their fault. No so, they billed my insurance for another visit even though it was just drop of a urine cause you lost my first one! Needless to say my insurance didn't want to pay again for another visit that they billed for when 2nd time wasnt a visit. Took me months to straighten out with my insurance that it wasnt my fault they lost my initial urine the day I initially went there. Also day of my visit, there was a dog behind desk in area they take you back to. People are allergic! Not a very professional place at all. I would never recommend!

I've been here several times and I've always had wonderful experiences. I brought my 6 year old son in last Sunday because his primary doctor prescribed antibiotics and when he finished he still had a terrible cough. Scheduled another appointment with his primary doctor and they did nothing. So Sunday rolls around and I'm listening to him cough from 3 am and that was enough for me. MedOne, here we come!
I arrived a little before they opened. There was a gentleman that started talking to me, he was in his 80s I believe and I could tell he was in terrible shape. The doors opened and I let him go in front of me out of concern. The nurses and doctors got to him immediately and made sure he got the best care, which unfortunately was at the hospital. But they took care of him quickly and carefully.
When it was our turn, we got Nurse Nicole and Dr. Rachael. My son is autistic and has ADHD and Nurse Nicole was very patient with him and friendly which is something I look for and appreciate with any caregiver for my son.
I've seen Dr. Rachael before and she helped my entire family when we were VERY sick. She did us a huge favor which I will never forget and I'll always be grateful for. I digress, Dr. Rachael came in and talked with me and got the run down on what my concerns were. She was unbelievably wonderful with my son too. He normally fights when his ears get checked or his throat etc. She turned it into a "tickling" game for him and put him at 100% ease and had him giggling. His own Dr's don't do that.
She was very thorough and took the time to listen to me and come up with a better treatment plan. I didn't feel rushed and "unheard". I knew she was listening to me and I knew she cared. She didn't just want to throw more antibiotics down his throat and call it a day. She got him the cough syrup and steroids he needed along with the allergy medicine. She also recommended a multivitamin and vitamin C gummed which he took to like a fish in water!! The friendly, gentle care he received here was flawless. Everyone in this office is wonderful. I only wish they could be our primary care physicians! I can't thank you all enough!
Great facility, great team of Dr's and nurses, friendly and genuine care overall. This is my go-to Dr's office for any pop-up illnesses that require urgent care.
Ladies, I can't thank you all enough! Keep up the good work! It's noticed and appreciated!

Horrible place to go to, I drove 25 miles up to the place because when I called she said the dr could fill my meds for me even after telling her what I was taking. I get there fill out new patient paperwork and everything then the Dr comes in and was all I can’t fill your meds for you and was so rude about it she told me I’m just going to have to go to the hospital if I want to get them filled. So I was leaving and she told me next time tell us what your on before you drive so far I said I DID on the phone and your receptionist told me you would fill them. So that was a huge lie i ended up in the ER and hour later. So thanks for a big nothing but a waste of my time and insurance fraud cause they are going to bill me for the inconvenience appt I had which shouldn’t happen!!!!!!

I had a medical issue the day before Milton was supposed to hit Florida and my care was excellent. My problem required follow up and Pandora urged me to contact her two days later as they would be closed for the hurricane. I have contacted her two more times and she has made sure I received the medications I needed. They have gone way beyond what one would expect from a walk in clinic. Thank you!

I was seen by Daniela Cobb who was very kind and caring. Amanda at the front desk was all smiles and very welcoming. Korina was my medical assistant and she was very sweet. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional, very knowledgeable and cared about me feeling better. This is a very clean office and when needed I will be back. I came here extremely sick on vacation with bronchitis. The staff was patient, caring and super friendly. They really seem to care about the patients who come in. I highly recommend them especially if insurance doesn’t cover the cost of the visit as the price is very affordable. Thank you all again!
