Medi is the best way I have been able to lose the amount of weight I have been struggling to lose. After joining the program, I have lost 50 pounds! The programs and services are extremely helpful as well as the products are very excellent. The program provides so much information and resources to focus on all of the goals or targeted health. I always have the best suggestions and recommendations given to be from the expert nutritionists. My experience there is so great and I always get the most professional advice from all of the friendly staff there. I will definitely go back to Medi whenever I need to (if I happen to gain any weight back) and will recommend them to anyone who needs their help too!

I absolutely loved the Medi Weight Loss program so that's why I am giving them a 2, and I will recommend the PROGRAM ITSELF to my friends and family, but THIS LOCATION IS ATROCIOUS in how they treat their staff & customers. I am disgusted that I spent around $3,000 there in the last 6 months, and that I could be treated this way. And now the staff shortages make a lot of sense. I have watched staff come and go for months now. My favorite clinicians and receptionist no longer work there. I know that they are not used to people standing up to them, they are just used to people quitting.

My issue with them started Thursday because I was told numerous times that I could continue to get their B1/B6 and B12 injections 2x a week on the Stay Well program, in lieu of the Medi Melts. When I was told that was incorrect, by a phone call from receptionist shortly after I left the clinic on Thursday and not a clinician who could explain the policy in a more comprehensive way, I asked multiple times for the policy to be sent to me via email in writing since I felt that the trust had been broken. Weight loss is extremely personal and hits on a lot of psychological issues, so trust is paramount.

That was apparently too big of a request, because I got a call yesterday from the office manager first thing in the morning telling me, in short, that I should be happy that they aren't back-charging me for the free thing they told me I had been getting. When I continued to ask for the policy in writing, she continued to argue with me, instead of acknowledging what I was telling her and how damaging this was to my relationship with the clinic.

Three hours later, I still didn't have the policy in writing that I asked for, so I called and left a message once again asking for it. As of me writing this post, over 48 hours after this saga started, I still don't know what their official policy is regarding the injections on Stay Well. The pamphlet they give is ambiguous and says that they want you to come 1x a week and you get the Medi Melts to supplement the rest of the week, but again, I was told numerous times by the clinicians in December and January that I could swap the Medi Melts for 2x injections.

I don't mind that I don't get the free thing they offered: I mind that I was given bad information by a trusted source. Someone is wrong, whether it is the clinician or management. And either way, that falls on management to provide training and support to their clinicians. I relied on the information I was given in shaping my goals, and it's a little embarrassing on my end as well, driving there 2x a week for the last 6-7 weeks (after finishing the initial part in December), thinking I was following the Stay Well as described to me.

And then, when I finally was called last night by the top of the management chain (I should mention that the office manager who called in the morning told me there was no one above her and that she runs the entire practice), she pretended that she was listening to me (I could hear keyboard clicking the background), and then when I finished explaining my position, she immediately dismissed my side of it and told me I was verbally abusive to her staff despite me speaking to her in the same tone I spoke to everyone involved, and the only example she could give was my conversation with the office manager this morning. I was not and am not verbally abusive. I am an an attorney, and so I am able to stand up for myself, and apparently, they are not used to that. I spoke to directly, and I had to constantly ask the office manager to stop interrupting me, and she would not listen to my simple request to clear this issue up in a written policy.

I have never met Dr. Bloy, even though he prescribed me narcotics (phentermine), for over 4 months. When I did the program in Naples, I met the doctor multiple times. Do not give a dime of your money to this practice. They are the abusive ones.

Learning about eating the right kinds of food that helps keep you thin & trim. Plus, the accountability piece helps make you be accountable for the choices you make daily.

The staff are so attentive and helpful here. The program is successful & so long as you stay true to it (and yourself) it can be a manageable way of life.
