Long story but must read. Backstory I'm 41 years old. I live in Thailand but I am here visiting my mom. I am staying with her while I'm here. She had a surgery planned about 2 weeks after my arrival. Almost a week in I developed a cough with phlegm. It continued and got pretty persistent. My mom fearing it might mess up her surgery if she got sick, we came here to get myself checked out and get any info she may need to tell her doctor before her surgery. I get signed in and after a short wait I am called back to the patient room and request my mom join so she can hear any info she might need. When I get to the room, the girl that brought me back gets my blood pressure and heart rate and tells me someone will be with me shortly. Not too long after that, a nurse in black scrubs walks in. After introducing herself she starts by verifying my date of birth. Then she proceeds to start asking questions about why im there. My mom spoke up and started telling her my symptoms. The nurse cut her off and said she is speaking to me and needs me to answer. My mom was just nervous but I understand this isn't her visit and I need to answer for myself. Here is where I realized this might not be the best place to be. The nurse didn't leave it at that. She looked at me and very unprofessionaly said "You are 41, right?!". This was nothing but a smart remark as the very 1st thing she did was verify my date of birth. She then continued asking me questions which I answered. She left and sent the girl that brought me back in with 4 prescriptions for upper respiratory infection and sent us on out way. This was on Friday. By Monday I was worse and gasping for air like a fish out of water. I have photos of my oxygen levels between 82 and 91. The paperwork they gave me Friday says "Contact a health care provider if: Your symptoms get worse over time.", and "Get help right away if you: Have trouble breathing.". I called this office and said I'm getting worse and have new symptoms. The girl that answered only asked 1 question which was when did I start taking meds. I said 4 days ago. She said "Well, you should give the meds time to work." She didn't ask what symptoms or anything. I told her that her advice goes against the paperwork they gave me. She started studdering and said I can come in if I want. The next day I came back. This time after a long wait I get brought back with same process. But this time a lady doctor comes in. She pretty much tells me that my lungs are clear and since I don't have insurance she doesn't want to do more. I went to show her the photos of my oxygen levels and she almost broke her neck to avoid looking at it. She asked if i was given anything like an inhaler for my breathing. I said no. She told me to let her do some digging. She sent the same girl that brought me back with a 5th prescription (not an inhaler) and sent me on my way. That's 5 prescriptions and not 1 time did they even take my weight. I will probably have an attorney look into this for neglect and malpractice. If you care about your loved ones, avoid this place at ALL cost. They do not care about their patients.
