Mike helped my son overcome many issues. I believe my sons recovery was because of Mikes support, understanding, and his ability to relate to what my son was going through. My son found him to be an inspiration and felt he had a good and trustworthy friend helping him through his journey. Through all of this, I finally have my son back. He is back in college, working full time and is happy more times than not. I would highly recommend Mike.

Mike McGuire is an excellent counselor/therapist. I chose him because of his specialties. I needed trauma as well as substance abuse counseling. Mike understands recovery as he has successfully applied the tools we are taught to live free of substance abuse. He pursued the education required to lead his clients to discover their own path to recovery. He taught me to recognize thinking patterns I needed to change to become healthy again. I always was comfortable working through my personal Issues while in therapy. I highly recommend Mike. I’m a mature adult but he also specializes in working with young adults. They will feel safe to openly deal with the issues that brought them to seek counseling.

Mike and Annie share a wonderful gift of being able to relate to young people in a very special way. Annie is particularly well versed in LBGTQ+. My child felt very safe and comfortable with her and Annie helped our whole family so much. Both she and Mike are super available and very responsive in times of crisis. It’s very hard to find quality and successful help for struggling teens and Mike and Annie have certainly filled that niche in Jacksonville. Highly recommend.

Mike has truly been a blessing for our son and the family. He relates because of his own life experiences and is able to help because of his training and education. He is always there to counsel, uplift and listen. Our son actually looks forward to going. Mike never gives up even when there are multiple layers of mental illness and substance dependency. He understands that our son’s needs are unique and complex. He’s patient, kind and empathetic not only to our son but to us as well. He believes in providing help, advice and relief for the entire family! I honestly don’t know where we would be right now without him!

My Husband and I have been receiving couples therapy with Mike and we are so happy we found him. He does an excellent job of staying neutral, providing psychoeducation, being available to us and guiding us in our therapeutic journey. Mike and Annie have helped me out of a dark place in my life and continue to be role models and lifelong friends of mine.
