I was recently admitted to this horrible place. 3 days after I was there I had a serious medical emergency. The staff there were HORRIBLE!! The nurses. The Nurse practitioner. The CNAs. The therapists. It was the worst and scariest experience I've ever had at a rehab facility. I did not feel safe there. I felt like they were so incompetent. It took them one 1 hour and 45 minutes to help me get out of bed to the bathroom. Please DO NOT send your loved ones here. Horrible place with HORRIBLE STAFF.

FIND A DIFFERENT FACILITY FOR YOUR LOVED ONE! My mom was transferred to ManorCare on Monday from the hospital after a total knee replacement surgery, she was supposed to be here for rehabilitation. The transport dropped her off safely and not one staff member was there to welcome us or meet my mom or anything. A whole hour we waited for someone to come acknowledge that we were there as a new admission and nothing. I went in the hall where a nurse was with her cart and asked if anyone was going to come and talk to us and she said she would come later to check on us she's doing her round right now. So i was like how long is later and she said about 30-45 minutes. I was appalled. I couldn't believe a facility that's supposed to be giving my mom the consistent care for her recovery since I couldn't from 2 hours away was so careless. My mom was a fall risk since she was dizzy after surgery in the hospital so putting her in this facility after the lack of care and concern within our first hour there was not an option. I went out outside to make a phone call and on my way back to my moms room I passed the Director of Nursing office and told her what was going on and how upset I was with the situation. She called a staff member to our room and 15-20 minutes later the infection control nurse came in. I told her I was going to be taking her home shortly so if they could get her discharge paperwork ready that would be great. Well since she was never admitted or anything nothing needed to be done and with the help of the physical therapist I took her home in my moms friends SUV since it was end of business day, before 4th of July holiday. I am so upset with the situation and can't believe this is what happens in a so called "Skilled" nursing facility.

My husband was there for 9 days and died on the 9th day. I paid for a full month and they didn't pro-rate the amount that should have been paid. As a grieving widow, I am trying to deal with his loss and when I try to find out about getting some of the money back, they are rude and will not even return my call. They said that as of the first of this month, they are owned by a different company and can't refund the difference. My husband died on the 18th. They had 13 days to issue the difference. The same people work there. The Financial person that took my payment is still there. I was upset because of the run-around and the reception said I was yelling at her and I said, I'm sorry, but I am upset about my husband death and also having to deal with this." She said, Not my problem and hung up on me.

I would like to take an opportunity to thank Manor Care for an awesome job. I cannot express enough in words how amazing the management/ staff have been in making a transition for my mom so much easier for me. What I was thinking of as a long process at my end, ended up being no problem at all. Thank you every member involved for doing this for me.
The cleanliness, friendliness of this place is beyond what I was expecting of any Care Home, we donโ€™t usually hear good things. But this place outshines everyone. I know for sure my moms in the best of care, best place with an awesome team. Do not think twice about this place. This is where and how you want your loved ones to be.
Thank you once again Manor Care. You guy Rock! Awesome ๐Ÿ’•

Manor Care is one of the best care homes/rehabilitation center around. This facility is very clean and organized. All staff members present themselves with professionalism. With some of my family members admitted there in the past and present I always find that the nurses treat their patients with love and tenderness. The administration is very knowledgeable and they take extra steps to make sure each family rests assured that their loved ones are in good hands!!

The only reason for the one star is for the PT staff. My grandmother has been to this facility a few times over the span of 10 years. It has always had some minor issues. But never to this magnitude. This stay was the absolute worst. I will never send/refer my family or any other family member here again.
The only reason she stayed after some of these incidents was because we didn't have any other options and how traumatic the transfer would have been on my grandmother.
Day 1, transfered from hospital to manor care, at 8pm no dinner had been given to her, no water, nurse call button was not in reach it was tangled in phone cord on side table, she didn't have a table that goes over her bed, no TV remote, the bed she was in you could only adjust from foot of bed, was told they would not transfer her out of bed until PT evaluated her the next day, she would have to soil herself or call for a bed pan. Called for CNA couldn't find them for over an hour.
Other visits, room was extremely hot, smelled of feces, clothing missing, multiple times she was not changed into day or night clothes, after a week of being there told meds were missing, horrible communication. We would have to continually call over course of hours to get status on grandmother, we would be hung up on, put on hold, and would never get call backs. Many of the staff had horrible attitudes.
They called the day before she was being discharged they asked about a cane that was ordered and supposed to be delivered. We never received, day of discharge they say that the cane is on back order and we can go buy it ourselves. This should have been done days before she is discharged not at time of discharge. Now she has no cane to go home with and she was there all this time to be rehabbed to use the cane.
When family is there to pick her up in tbe afternoon, she is still I'm bed not dressed, they ordered private transportation after they were told we had someone picking her up.
This list can go on and on, there are so many other incidents that happened and are completely unacceptable.

My step father was sent to this facility from a hospital 3 hours north of this facility for rehabilitation from a fall. They deemed him ready to be released after 18 days due to the fact he couldnโ€™t pay beyond the insurance approved time. He was released to home into my momโ€™s care without consideration of resources at their home, her level of strength for helping move him, his lack of physical strength or mobility. They told her home health was set up and when the my mom contacted the home health company two days later, they had no idea who my step father was. Come to find out, they didnโ€™t have the people available to do his case, his primary care doctor had not been notified about his release, and two weeks later, he is literally wasting away and losing more and more strength. While there for the release and to drive him home, my daughter witnessed a horribly rude staff treat another patient rudely and without the dignity everyone deserves.
