I don’t typically leave reviews, especially negative reviews. But I am absolutely floored to the point that I am moved to do so. I LOVE Dr. Mai, however, the receptionist Desiree really needs an attitude adjustment. There’s no compassion or understanding whatsoever from this person. This is healthcare, after all. I will not be going back. I begrudgingly cancelled my appointment and they will not hear back from me after going for a couple of years.

Looking at these more recent reviews matches my experience. Dr. Mai is great, but his staff, questionable. My neighbor warned me and wish I would have listened now. Roll the dice.

Worst receptionist ever especially the lady named Dee or Denise. She is a pathological liar, you wouldn’t want her to handle your medical records and your medical records are not safe with her. Doctor Mai is very knowledgeable and nice Doctor but I don’t recommend anyone to go to his clinic because it is a toxic place with rude people like Dee who has no regard for patient. I think it’s safe to say that she’s racist based on how she treats certain people who are different than her kind. Maybe and hopefully she’ll change when she sees this review. Until Doctor Mai gets rid of her, this clinic will continue to be toxic and unfriendly.

Been there 3 times, 1st time was terrible, I think Dr Mai was having a bad day, hey it happens. Today, 3rd visit Dee basically called me a liar, 3 times. I was told by Dr Mai on my 2nd visit my kidneys were fine so I don't even know why I was going back. But today I was there to pick up blood orders, Dee said my May appt wasn't in computer.Asked me 3 times when it was I told her each time I would go home and look it up or she could just make another appt whatever worked best for her, she wouldn't accept that got very iffy, I said "I'll tell you what, forget it" and walked out!! If I ever need a kidney Dr again I'll find another one!! They had a new receptionist...she is very nice!!

I personally am very pleased to have Dr. Ma I on my medical team. I appreciate his honesty and straightforward manner in getting to the root of a problem while being kind and exhibiting a sense of humor that makes him a pleasure to work with. I would especially like to say thank you to him for helping to resolve an issue that technically was not his responsibility, but he and his staff stepped up for me and my issue was resolved within 2 days. They are wonderful.
