So far not positive interactions (6 days and counting).Severak of the staff definitely take advantage of people in vulnerable situations. One particular intake person will lie to families to get beds filled. She will hold beds for certain people, that have insurance, vs taking others have to wait weeks in jail and/or hospitals at a tax payers expense.

The "counselors" (unlicensed...do I use the word loosely) will ask patients to delay medical care, in order to fill.bed, The NP refill meds without consulting with specialist, the patient is established with, that initially prescribed meds. Not positive that anyone here holds a LPN or RN that actually dispenses the med...many are or can be controlled substances.

The program counselors make promises and upsell the program.. then once the person is "accepted" they have other outside ties to make "referrals" and bed-filling easier.

I have experience with this program in the public health nursing sector, in the past 2011-2019) and this program seems to be getting more "corrupt" over the years since 2018ish. Makes me wonder...why the "name change"...after so many years as First-Step.

Sorry, but lifetime addictions and problems, cannot be fixed in days and months, and without proper medical and licensed counseling follow through, before, during and after, there is little hope this program will help.

Find a program that has medically trained people dispensing meds, licensed mental health counselors and licensed social workers working with your friends and/family., not just someone "trained" as a counselor or med tech, you family or friend will have a better chance of recovery. ❤️‍🩹

If I could give them no stars, I would. If I could give them negative stars, I would. This place is trash, and the counselors are as well. First step should have never changed. This place STEALS light, it doesn't share a damn thing. You want your loved ones washed and zombified with their "legal" prescription drugs, then this is your best bet. If it were to just be wiped clean off the map, the world would be a better place

Idk who funds this place but they need to stop funding and let this place go out of business. It’s old, the staff is only there for a paycheck and it shows. Don’t ever go to this place! They DO NOT CARE! Senior management does not care about staff or clients. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Please don’t invest your money or time to these people. They are shepherds for the Devil himself.
