I was surprised at how easy it was to get appointments with both specialists in my area and they're also available through Telehealth.

I have completed the first appointment with both specialists and really enjoyed meeting them and I feel positive about their ability to help with my issues.

The last time I went through the process of trying to find specialists for my issues at other providers, it was a nightmare. So, it's understandable that I had anxiety about making these calls and appointments and if they would have prompt availability.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the ease of the process, the availability of specialists, and the availability of appointments within that week, as well as the website and phone apps they use, that I had to leave this good review.

I booked my first appointment with Life Stance and told the scheduler that I would like to have my appointment in-person as a medication I take requires it. They called me late in the day before my appointment to tell me in-person was no longer possible and it must take place over Zoom.

I let them know that wouldn't work for me and I was threatened with a $175 cancellation fee.

After some back and forth they assured me that the medication could be prescribed over Zoom and allowed me to adjust the timing of the appointment without charging me the $175 cancellation fee.

I saw Dr. K over Zoom (he is great) and of course found out that my medication does require an in-person appointment. I was frustrated but not a big deal. An appointment was set for the next Monday morning.

I called on the Thursday before this to let them know Monday was no longer going to work and the very litigious office staff informed that that because it was 1pm on Thursday and my appointment was at 10am the following Monday that technically I was violating their 48hr cancellation policy, even though I was simply trying to reschedule my appointment four days in advance.

She told me no matter what I would be paying the $175 fee. I told her I didn't want to be associated with a practice that aggressively and frankly unfairly uses their policies against their patients. She informed me, again, that the $175 fee had to be paid.

Since then I have received multiple emails and texts requesting me to pay the $175 fee. Is this normal? Does this place care about their patients at all? To be honest I am starting to find it some humor in the absurdity of it all, but am also very disappointed.

My Doctor was professional and understanding of my needs. He was very detailed and covered everything in our conversation. He listened to what I had to say and didn’t try to over medicate me. I was so comfortable in this appointment. Thank you it a pleasure to you have you as my Psychiatrist.

The instructions to connect audio, and camera were very easy to follow.
