I had a great experience with the staff, but the scheduling was horrible. I had a 10:50 appointment and was not seen by the Dr. Until just after 12:00. She explained to me that she had to do a hospital visit before hand that ran over which I completely understand as emergencies happen. I should have at least gotten an update as to when she may see me.

However, she should not be sheduled to see hospital and clinical visits on the same day. I hope this is fixed soon as after reading that others have had similar experiences.

As is stated in many of the below reviews, good luck getting anyone to pick up the phone or even get a call back despite there being about 6 gossiping girls sitting at the front desk not doing much of anything but talking about hair products they’re using. I have an outstanding balance about to be sent to corrections because I can’t get on the phone with anyone to resolve the insurance filing issue that THEY made. I have yet to get a call back to even attempt to resolve the issue. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional for a practice to do this to their patients. Other reviews state the same thing about billing which if left unresolved can cause serious issues for the patient. Again, appalled by this practice and the unprofessionalism I have witnessed and experienced.

I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to have an appointment time at 3:50 pm, only to wait until 5:10 pm and never see a doctor. This is completely unacceptable. My time is important too, especially since had I switched my appointment time to a different date your office insisted on charging me for a schedule change. Your office reminded me about my appointment at least twenty times, via emails, phone calls and text messages. I’m watching my Blue Cross Blue Shield account to be certain Lee Obstetrics & Gynecology doesn’t charge BCBS for an appointment. I’m also sending this notification to your Board of Directors. Horrible service.

I'm new to the area and would be a new patient. My first impression was to have to leave a message just to make an appointment. The recording when you call suggests to go to the website, but as a new patient, that's not an option. So in my mind we are already starting out on the wrong foot. I was advised that I would have to go online to get the new patient forms, fill them out, and email them. Email! Email is very much not a secure means of communication but they want me to send my driver's license, insurance information, social security number, and medical information this way! When I expressed my concern about this, I was very coldly advised I could bring them into the office instead. Why would I drive 40 minutes from Dadeville to do that when I can just bring them at my appointment And all of this before I can even make an appointment! A doctor's office that would suggest handling my very personal information this way raises some serious red flags as to how they safeguard confidential patient information. I will not be going here.

Dr. Spivey is absolutely awesome. I had been seeing three other providers at the same facility, but with Dr. Spivey, I felt the most comfortable. She took a lot of time to talk to me about my issues and concerns and is very knowledgeable. She explained the pros and cons in detail and then gave me a recommendation. She spends a lot more time with her patients to understand everything which I really value.
The front desk and medical assistants are also very friendly and efficient.

I have been a patient of this practice for almost 10 years now. They must've recently gone through some major restructuring because I have NEVER had so many problems with a doctors' office as I have with Lee OBGYN this past year. I always go to the gyno in May. Every year I call in April to make my appointment with my usual gynecologist. This year when I called I was told that my doctor had left the practice and the earliest they could get me in with another physician was July. Not great, but I told them okay. As we got closer to the appointment date I had a potential scheduling conflict so, per their request, I asked for alternative date/time options through the patient portal. I didn't receive a reply and my scheduling conflict resolved itself so a couple of days later I called just to confirm my original appointment time. I was told that because I requested a change (which I didn't, I just asked for availability) my appointment was cancelled and the soonest they could get me in was SEPTEMBER. So fast forward, I show up this morning for my appointment and was told that the doctor I was supposed to see is no longer with the practice, and my appointment was cancelled. Not rescheduled, not changed to another doctor, CANCELLED. They didn't call me or email to let me know about this beforehand; I just drove 45 mins to the office only to be told they could mayyybe get me in. The waiting room, which is quite large, was so full that there were people standing everywhere, including outside the office. There was no way they were going to be able to fit me in in a timely manner and I had to get back to work, so I just told them no thank you and left. After this many problems I will no longer be a patient of this office and I do not recommend it anyone.

Dr Mahram has been amazing during my pregnancy! He has me coming every week to get my diabetes under control! He actually cares about his patients! We started the pregnancy seeing Valerie Birmingham and she is also so caring and listening to every concern! She's a NP and recommended I see an MD because of my diabetes! We love them both and are so thankful for caring providers !

Mrs Lynsey Smith was amazing. She was very kind, gentle, patient, non-judgemental and answered all of my questions about birth control. Not only did she treat me kindly, but she made me feel very comfortable and safe during my first pap. I was nervous before going in, but once she came in the room she made me feel like a person, not just a patient. also,

just a side note- If anyone at the office is reading this- let her know she is awesome and i’m so glad that I got to meet her- I had a great first timer-experience .11/10 would recommend Mrs Lynsey Smith Nurse Practitioner! will be back next year for my annual checkup 🙂
