I love the nemours hospital Lawall’s office. Their attention is always on point. Ruben is the best and we have been seeing him for many years now. We live in Vero Beach and although we could see Ruben in Melbourne I rather make the drive to Orlando because the staff from this office is really the best.

Be cautious. This is a highly dishonest business. After years of dealing with them, we discovered, with the help of our insurance provider, Aetna, that they were overcharging us to avoid honoring the negotiated/contracted rates with our insurance company. When we confronted them about it, they simply told us to take our 6-year-old son elsewhere.

The escalation team from Aetna informed office managers Paola and Mr. Ruben Bajesa that such behavior was unacceptable and that Aetna, as our insurance provider, would not tolerate it. Despite this, when we arrived to drop new shoes off, we were met with an aggressive Mr. Ruben Bajesa, who blatantly told us that our 6-year-old son was no longer their patient. When I asked why, he coldly stated, “I don’t want to see him.”

Thank you for your reply. While I appreciate your response, I must address several inaccuracies in your statement:
1. The issue at hand was not about exceeding Aetna’s coverage limits but about charges that were inconsistent with the negotiated/contracted rates. After consulting directly with Aetna, they confirmed that the charges were incorrect and not in line with their policies.
2. The claim that I was disrespectful is entirely false. In fact, the only disrespect in this situation came from your staff, which is fully documented on my side. Mr. Ruben Bajesa’s aggressive behavior and his statement that he “did not want to see my 6-year-old son any longer” were entirely unprovoked and unprofessional.
3. Furthermore, holding my son’s shoe for over three months caused him significant discomfort and backaches, which reflects poorly on the prioritization of patient care that you mentioned.
4. I have been trying to resolve this matter by contacting your Philadelphia office. However, I have not received any call backs, further exacerbating this issue and leaving me with no alternative but to share my experience publicly.

This situation has been thoroughly documented, and the facts do not align with your response. I would be happy to discuss this matter further if your office is willing to acknowledge and resolve these issues appropriately.
